As time goes by, I pay less attention to my birthday. Especially right now my son is 5 years old, I care about him more than myself. I don't think my birthday is important any more. It is good that my husband greets to me and my friends remember my birthday. I don't want to celebrate it as I don't think it is important like before. I love China

I do not celebrate my birthday. Because, there is no happiness in mind.People those who have name and fame for the sake of Publicity they celebrate birthday. If happiness prevail in the family they celebrate by going to temple for offering prayer on birthday .

Sorry my friend, its not like that. Celebrating a birthday is not for fame. It provides us happiness from the inside. It shows us, the people who care for us. It provides us strength in our mind that we too've someone close to our heart. Birthday is a gift my friend. When a person suddenly wishes us on our birthday, it really makes us soo happy. There's no one in the world who could regret it. Even you couldn't my friend. I prefer you could celebrate your birthday atleast once my friend. I wish you to feel it my friend.

I usually celebrate my birthday, but I don't have a big party. This year my husband, my parents, my brother and his girlfriend, one of my close friends and I had dinner at an Indian restaurant. After that we had coffee and cake at my parents' place, and we had a really good time. When I was a child I was always really excited about the presents. As an adults the presents are not very important to me, it is much more important to me to spend some time with my family.

What do you exactly mean by celebration? Celebration for small kids is inviting all the friends and having games and a great rocking party! Celebration for me is giving small treat to friends and cut a cake with them and also celebrate with parents by going for a lunch/dinner in a good restaurant! This is celebration for me which I still do it and will do it till I have my own kids who are grown up enough!

i just had my 39th birthday... i don't celebrate my birthdays... but, frankly speaking, somehow almost each year it gets celebrated... i find my wife cooking special foods, someone (my brother or sister) bringing a cake and other members of my family coming to our house and joining us... it's mostly within our broad family... sometimes, with members from my in law's house... almost every time (this time too), it turns to a family gathering even if we don't plan it previously... and nowadays, with my kids growing, it gets celebrated on their demand... they don't want to miss any opportunity to celebrate...

Hi happy: first of all you have chosen a nice name to be here in mylot. I agree with you, i don't like big parties but an intimate celebration with the ones you love and a big cake it's always good for me. On these date is also usual for me that my grandma and ants would invite me to go for a special dinner and that's a gift i know how to appreciate. Thanks for your answer. Hope you are having a nice day. Merry Christmas/ Happy Holidays. Take Care. -Alvaro.

I haven't done anything extravagant for my birthday for years now. It's pretty much just another day for me. I was stuck working my last few birthdays. I don't think it's that big of a deal as you get older. I guess the closest thing my family does on anyone's birthday, mine included, is to go out to some restaurant and eat dinner. That is the extent of our celebration. We don't even really give presents anymore.

Its not a good one my friend. Our country's republic day is one great day that no one can comment upon. Its such a special day of honour. It has to be given its respect. I celebrate my birthday more grandly each year. Actually since its the only occation I celebrate. You don't have to worry my friend, sure you'll be able to celebrate your birthday more granding in the future with your loved one.

oh my god! Its a very strange tradition. Kids are the ones who are most ecited about their birthday, but in your case it is reverse. I would like to ask a very stupid question please dont mind, If a person does not live so long so as to reach the age of 60 will his/her birthday never be celebrated in entire life?

HI friends,my birthday falls on 21st January.when I was in school I used to celebrate my birthday by calling friends at my place, having fun, blowing up the candles and getting presents. As time passed by birthday got new kind of celebrations. Now its not a child's birthday party its a smoke n booze get-together since we are college mates but still we used to have a lot of fun together because we all friends. Now life has taken another turn, now we are earning money, busy in life and our birthday looks like another work day.I see me around my company mates lost in their own business talks. And i ask myself is this a birthday or a business meeting???AND at that moment I miss those days n i call that was my birthday....

Yeah! I do. My parents celebrate my birthday with joy when I was kid. I still remember they call my friends & together we enjoy the day. Now that days are gone. I am now living in a hostile environment where I and my mother silently remembers that day.

Hi karthi: it's a little bit sad what you have told to us. Well maybe you are used to not celebrate your own birthday but for it would be horrible. In my case, when i can't celebrate my birthday, because i have some problems that day, my family and i celebrate my date next saturday or sunday i think. For me it's very important to celebrate that I am getting older. Lol. XD. Anyway, thanks for telling us yopur experience. Hope you are having a nice day. Merry Christmas/ Happy Holidays. Take Care. -Alvaro.

i celebrated my b'day until i studied my 3rd std. i would blow candles ,cut cake etc, then after that it was restricted to giving chocolates alone, then after some years, i stopped that too, now my b'day is like any normal day. but when my b'day comes, i would feel bad, becoz i hv not achieved anything all the full year to celebrate that. other way b'day means expense. for treat, party. as i dont hv more friends and friends also dont like parties i dont hv that expenses. But i want to celebrate my b'day by planting atleast one tree sapling and donating to any child's education. i would do it when i start earning by myself. i think it is the best way to celebrate.

hi! If seriously u see birthday is an alarm that tells us "hey u r -- yrs OLD" as u can see the letters in bold OLD.I mean y to celebrate or be happy when u r loosing years instead of that do celebrate days when you made your parents happy or somebody made u happy as in happy day or when u achieved something remember the day and see u get an experience that you will always achive something on that day. ALL THE BEST.
