Do you like to cook when you eat alone?

I like cooking, even if I am alone and I like to cook for myself. I can make some different taste or new try, and do not mind what's the look. If someone eat with me I should consider the traditional cook. I can cook what I want when I am alone. And I only just consider my taste. How about you? At this time, do you like to cook for yourself or order from fast food shop?

Yes kevinll I love to cook my own meals [ but then I Am a retired cook] because I know it would be healthy and have fresh ingredients in it which I can choose my self. I would eat in restaurants some times but I Am very careful with my choices because I was in the industry for so long I know what is going on in restaurants kitchens. I actually have a blog about cooking for one I Am not sure is in my profile but any way put me in your friends list and you can have access to it!
Happy cooking!

it really depends what mood i'm in.sometimes i'll just eat something small like a sandwich, other times i'll go ahead and make something bigger and just freeze any extra.i don't like to order fast food unless i'm really to tired to make anything.

I would much prefer to cook a meal for myself because I can cook it to my own tastes. When I have bought something just to heat up, I have found that it doesn't taste all that good and I often wonder what ingredients are in the food and how nutritious they are. - Derek

I also love cooking, but i don't think cooking just for my self only is enjoyable. I cooked for my whole family because I love to see them eating the food that i cooked. Also eating alone is very sad for me so I will just go out and eat in a restaurant where I could see people eating also.

I'll cook even if it's just for me. I might make something simpler, though. I don't see why i shouldn't cook for myself.

Hi there kevinll!
Yes, I like cooking even if I am alone. I think that home-cooked foods are still the best. But if I really need to hustle, then I would probably consider taking out food from a restaurant or fast food. But if I have the luxury of time, sure thing, I would cook for myself!

i don't really like cooking but i do it out of necessity. i prefer to buy fast food but it can get expensive. it's easier to cook for myself because i don't have to worry about how good it tastes, but when cooking for other people i have to make sure it tastes good.

Hiya kevin11,
If I can get away with cooking I will. There is no harm in picking up a packet of Cream of Vegetable in the Shop and eating it yourself also it can save you loads of money on buying all the greens to make it.
Other Day when I had a bit of a temperature I picked up a carton of Cream of Mediterranean Vegetables and boy did I enjoy it. I donĀ“t do this every day of course but every so often when I can is a big yes.

I personally love to cook for just myself. Thats the only time that I can cook absolutely whatever I want, and use any flavors together that I can think of. No one will critisize, and I can use some leftovers in ways that my family would never digest.
As a person who loves to cook, I also find that cooking for myself can be very therapeutic. Sometimes the daily dinner rush for the family can ruin my love for cooking. But on a day when I am alone, and I can devote some time to me and my food ideas, thats a great time in my book!

I cook for others all the time, but the foods for me are mainly veggie dishes and seasoned fish and poultry. I cook mostly all of my food.

I love to cook, and cooking for myself is how I experiment. I have come up with some real monstrosities, but I've come up with some great stuff too. After I experiment with a recipe on my own, I test them on people, friends, family, neighbors, the guy who fixes my car( he gives me a break on what he charges becuase I give him blue berry pancakes).

I like cooking, but I don't like cooking when I'm alone, its hard cooking for just one person, so usually I'll just eat cereal or a sandwich or I'll go out and eat fast food, I can eat whatever I want. I like to cook whenever everybody's here, its more fun that way.

I always like to cook, 'cause I always like to eat! Therefore, it becomes axiomatic that, if I wish to eat by myself, I must cook for myself, 'cause no one else will do it for me. Even when I'm feeling tired or lazy, I cook my own meal, because I like interesting food and would rather not eat if the recipe isn't a bit unusual. Ordering out gets very expensive and would be a last ditch solution for me. Yes, it becomes easy to cook for yourself also when you have only your own taste to consider and not the rest of your family. Cooking for me is an art and a creative outlet, so the enjoyment is not diminished if it's just for "little old me". I can also make things that no other family members enjoy and I can season family recipes to my own taste as well. I am my own personal chef!
