I just made a big pot of spaghetti and meatballs, one of my favorite meals. The only thing is, I KNOW it's going to give me heartburn later and I will most likely be up all night...but I don't care. I just can't do without my pasta and meatballs so I just deal with the pain LOL. Are there foods you know will do bad things to your tummy, but you eat them anyway?

I was sick in my bed last night. I did not care because the yams and mac and cheese were so good to me. LOL drink some vinegar to rid the heart burn.

I'm very lucky in that I don't like sweets and I'm allergic to chocolate so it's very easy for me to avoid. I used to have high BP too but cut way back on the salt I was using and lost some weight and thankfully it went away. Good luck with your high bp, take care of yourself and eat healthy!!!! and TRY to stay away from that chocolate LOL

OH me too...Italian and Mexican are my favorite foods but they just kill me!!! Im not sure if it's the acid in the tomato sauces, the garlic or just all the spices that are in those foods, but they sure make me regret eating them later...but I sure do enjoy them while Im eating them !

Wow, I kind of have a "iron stomach"(is that how the phrase goes?) - they're aren't many particular foods that upset my stomach unless I eat way too much of something.

I used to be that way too and the funny thing is...most of the time I can eat nacho's with jalapeno's on them and they don't bother me...I think it must be the tomatoes and tomato sauces that just have too much acid in them for me...but I won't give them up until the doc tells me I have to...which I hope isn't soon!!!

Bread and butter. It is so simple yet not very good for someone that has sugar issues and trying to lose weight. I also love milk. What a terrible trio!!
I'm currently trying to loose 25 lbs. I'm starting a journalling discussion for anyone that might have tips or similar goals! If you have time, find me and add to my journal!
Thanks.

For me, it's probably potato chips. I'm really trying to eat them as rarely as possible. Spaghetti and meatballs is one of my favorite meals and it doesn't upset my tummy. My problem is more than just the type of food, but is more like the portion control aspect. I hope to be able to deal with both issues this year. Potato chips are in no way necessary (I even make them homemade on occasion), so that shouldn't be too hard to eliminate. I hate to admit that prodigious amounts of food - totlly unnecessary- is my real downfall. I know it's better to eat several small meals then three large ones, but I've yet to conquer this "self-destruct".
Spaghetti and meatballs, yum!

I m not supposed to take much sugar in my daily intake, but I love to eat sweets.
I like mangoes. Even though I know its heat to the body, I wont care and will eat it.
Its always like the foods which are healthy;we dont eat that. We always crave for the fried items, even though we know its not healthy.

I recently had my first baby, so that means that I just went through 9 months of wanting to eat everything, but having the worst heartburn ever. My favorite pregnancy food just had to be all types of mexican dishes. I just couldnt get enough. I knew what it would do, but I was useless to stop myself. At least I was already up all night because I could get comfortable with a big belly. I was uncomfortable with a mouth full of tums.

OH my gosh congrats on the baby!!! and I know exactly what you mean...I've had 3 kids and in the later months almost everything gave me heartburn. I craved french fries with my third baby and I had them every day even though I know they were going to upset my tummy. You just can't deny pregnancy cravings that's for sure!
