Coffee, energy drinks, sodas, tea, water, No-Doz, or some kind of carb/protein-rich foods? What do you find to be the most effective in getting your butt out of bed and ready for the day?
I'm asking because I always find it hard. Soda just doesn't do it for me anymore (although it used to.) Now I'm a coffee & energy drink addict (my favorite is Rockstar. What about yours?)
Anyway, I figured this might be a fun discussion to start. What helps wake you up the most?

MAN CANNOT LIVE BY BREAD ALONE BUT BY THE WORD THAT PROCEEDS FROM THE THRONE OF GOD r u familiar with that saying now physical food is important for the physical body, what is the spiritual food? spiritual food is the word of god the word of god is not words in the bible or in books written by men claming to be the word of god.
THE WORD OF GODis the holy spirit the holy spirit is not and individual spirit going around going into people no it is the food for soul,in order to catch the food for the soul,it is done in a process known as spiritual excercises,so my energy source starts with the strenghten of the mind,if the mind is weak then the body is weak,
THE MIND FEEDSfrom the power of soul, soul feeds from the source the holy spirit, which is the food for the spirit and soul,my energy source first then comes from soul, then the mind then i feed my body, with food so i live by the powers of the holy spirit,we live a spiritual life as well, once u r aware of this then u will c the depth of this conversation,in a spiritual way,may the blessings be

hi maezee,
I used to drink coffee every morning just to kick start my day.My favorite are Nescafe but taking too much of caffeine makes ny body feels kind of weird.Sometimes my heartbeat felt like missing a beat or two.
As an alternative, now i take tea instead. Coffee just occasional affair.
HAPPY NEW YEAR 2010

I think , tea makes me more active and energetic than anything else and so I always start my day with tea. It gives me energy to wake up even when I dont want to.

The hibernation diet works for me - ie taking a spoonful of honey before bedtime daily. Check out the scientific explanation for the diet: http://www.benefits-of-honey.com/hibernation-diet.html

I am not really into energy drinks or the likes. I have always feared of becoming too dependent on then so I trained myself not to have much (or any) of them. The tension of having to finish or do something is enough for me to keep myself awake. I tend to even forget eating or drinking when I need to do or finish something so I guess it's bit positive in the sense that I can control myself and I dont need anything else to keep me going. WHat's not so good about it though is the fact that I can let a meal pass if I want to without even thinking of the negative consequences.. :(

I try not to drink coffee but i do find it helps when i have to get up on a morning for college. Also when im at work it keeps me going after a day at college and then off to work. I haven't really tried many energy drinks so im not entirely sure how well they would work. Also im not sure whether to start in the first place because i might get addicted :P

I would say warm milk, orange juice, toast, and cereal to start off with the day. Anything that tastes and smells good will wake me up.

Hello maezee me too don't go for the energy drinks or other drink but go for my breakfast, and in the day time would use some fruit and vegetable juices as energy drinks.Mostly have some orange, apple, carrot, bit root juices as energy drinks. In also the energy drink the carrot juice is mine fav as it increases the quantity of blood in our body. The more the blood flows in our body the more energy we would get by it.Actually was having cofee and milk earlier as an energy drinks to start the day, but got sleepless night so skipped coffee and now the milk adulteration is on rise so have to skip milk too, but stil am on my fruits and vegetable juices.Anyways enjoy you energy drinks, Happy mylotting.

Tea is my favourite energy, zest, mood swinger or whatever!! But I restrict it to only thrice in a day which used to be sometimes eight once upon a time. I am particular about the brand. We used to have Lopchu the whole leaf stuff which is not available anymore and after a lot of trial and error we have now settled for Brook Bond Taj which comes in the form of granules.

My usual source of energy is rice. I like all types, ricecake, java rice, friedrice or just plain rice. Rice is part of our meal three times a day, but I usually have rice twice a day. Rice can be eaten with cooked vegetables, fish and meat.

Comfort foods!:)
I love chocolates specifically. I often drink chocolate malt drink. I also love bread and bananas. :) Obviously bananas are way healthier than chocolates (it is the most recommended fruit by doctors), and they are really great sources of energy.
