Before you decide on buying anything, you have to look at your pocket and then you can now proceed with the next step. On the issue the location has to be consider.... where to put the refrigerator and the next thing is the what to put inside it.
Follow the steps above and i believe it will work for you.

It's best to keep a refrigerator as full as possible. A half empty fridge uses more energy. The size you require very much depends on what you are going to store in it. If you use a lot of fresh vegetables (or grow them), you will tend to need a larger size than if you only keep milk, butter a few ready meals and leftovers.
About.com says "If you're buying a spare or beverage refrigerator, a compact model under 11 cu. ft. may be sufficient. A 14 cu. ft size can be adequate for a family of 4, but a 18 - 22 cu. ft or higher would be better for a large family. If you have a vegetable garden, a larger refrigerator would be very convenient." So one can assume that, for two, something between 10 and 12 cu. ft. (about 300 - 350 litres) would be sufficient.
Refrigerators vary greatly, though, in internal layout - the adjustability of shelves, provision for vegetables and separate racks for bottles, butter and so on. Some are not nearly as convenient, well laid out or as easy to clean as others!
Another rather important criterion is the space that you have to put it in. Measure carefully before you shop and make sure that there is space enough to open the door more than 90 degrees (for cleaning and adjusting shelves).

Hello! We are two persons living together and we have medium size refrigerator. Sorry, I will not tell you how mush l it has, I just don't know. But I would say that this medium size fits us great. It is aprox. 1m 60 cm height and average width. Take the one with lots of freezer boxes and separate place for ice. I have to shelves in a freezing department: one i use for sweet things like frozen berries or ice-cream other is used for frozen vegetables or meat. And extra small shelve for ice, I can put these these small ice forms that need to be filled with water and then i have ice ...what else??? for us we have three shelves in refrigerator I think it's enough...good luck!!!

Hi. Refrigerator? I don't need such a big refrigerator because we not fully use the one that we have now. My family seldom bought wet item because we are rarely cook. We use to eat outside because we were just 3. So I think it is much savings when we eat outside. Refrigerator will not going to be a big issues for my family. My advice is, just buy as you need. :
