My system runs very slow , it takes ages to open any application on it, How does Disk clean up and defragmenter help in that ? are there any other means which can make system run faster than what it is now??

vishonboard I had tried your solutions and it seems it did made a bit of difference , however i couldn't modify the start up things as i couldn't log on to the system as an admin. But i guess the performance had improved a lot ... cheers shibily88 !!

vishonboard I had tried that removed files from temp folder but they were some KBs only not a huge amount of memory was taken by them. computers just a one year old but i must accept the way i use it , it might have been a harsh treatment for it !!!!

vishonboard i have 1.98 GB RAM , i have done Defragmentation and will use it frequently and hope it solves the issue.. cheers !!!
