Ok, today I decided me and my son could clean up house, get him to clean his room and pitch in. I done the kitchen, went to take the lights down outside. I ended up getting all them down but one strand that was froze and try to get it out, was getting down off the ladder..fell. I came inside and my son asked if I was ok and told me to call 911 :) how cute..but told him I just twisted my leg, hurt my knee and for the rest of the day rested and tried not to walk on it. Needless to say the rest of the housework got done. Called my husbands brother to see if they could it down for me, never did show, didn't even ask how I was. Neither did my brother or mom, what a loving family I have. Anyway, I just hope this isn't telling me how my New Year will end up becoming!!! Yikes..

That's just getting all your bad luck out of the way! The rest of the year will be a good one for you if you take an optimistic attitude and always turn lemons into lemonade! I know how you feel with the lights and all. It's a horrible feeling to be helpless and have nobody you can rely on. But look, you have a wonderful son who is concerned for you! He'll probably remember this and try to never be like his uncle who never showed up or called! See, there's something positive!

I hope I can get all the bad luck away and gain into more positive!! Yes, I usually don't do the christmas lights up on the gutter myself and have others do it for me, but I don't have anyone to do it for me and I wanted to decorated nice and cool for my son. I really hope he don't turn out like his uncle and others in the family. that is one that I am praying about!!

You sure already know the attitude of your family and this may not have come as a surprise to you. Look at the positive side and your son's concern for you. No this is not a bad omen. It becomes so only if your believe it to be. So please do not believe that such things exist at all. Go ahead and live your life as best as you can. My wishes are there for you.

Yea, family is to be there when u need them right?! not with mine..but oh well, I am glad my son had some feelings towards this also and hope he will continue with these as he gets older. That was a plus, then getting out of doing household chores :) They always say there is positive in anything negative. Thank you.

It was the first new year's eve that i was alone and very hungry. i was not able to go to my friends' house to celebrate the new year. It was pouring heavily i was stuck in the house. And i was upset, very upset. I slept while the world is celebrating. Does this mean an omen for my year? I don't think so...I believe this is the best year for me so far. I just believe it. If you believe that your's is a bad omen it depends on what you believe. Your belief will always determine your actions and decisions. Just live the best you can it will turn out the best year you'll have. Have a blessed year.

Hey, maybe ya got the bad part or 2010 over with already. So sorry to hear about the fall, if it's just a twisted knew then it should start to feel much better soon. And maybe they didn't realize that you were really hurt and needed help or had other commitments to take care of today. Most of us try for a relaxing weekend at the end of the Holiday season so that could be it too. I will take down the rest of our decorations early next week but left them up for 1 more weekend! And now I'm sure you can relate to the folks who leave them up all year..it is a hassle putting them up and getting them down again...Your neighbors will thank you for not doing that!

I highly doubt it. Everyone has their bad days. Today was cold and rainy, with gray skies. For me its difficult to want to fuction much less do anything else when its like that. George is at work, after ebating withimself about bailing and dragging his feet. Now, here I sit, waiting on his call saying he's coming home soon.

I didn't feel like doing anything either but figured try and get as much done as possible before I have no time and felt the energy. Guess I wasn't meant to clean the house and stuff today. That was one positive aspect for the day!! :) Hope George came home early and was able to spend the day with you.
