Everyone has his own pet peeve. I am not an exception, either.
One of mine is that I don't like my laptop to be used by others except my wife and son because I consider my laptop as something very private. It is just like diaries that we keep daily.
So what is your pet peeve? Or do you have any pet peeve?

Hello my friend williamjisir JI,
WEll, to be true, I wish that no one should have friendship with my hubby, he is alone for me. I do nott have stand-by. My hubby has fascitination to poke his dirty nose in everyone's affair. Even if he is not asked his valuable advise, he is always ready to help even unknown persons while travelling. He says, once you give to others, God will give yiou everything. Next no one should use my towel and under-garments including my hubby. They are like parts of my body.
May God bless You and have a great time.

Hello friend. Instead I think that your hubby is nice and kind as to be so willing to help the others, even strangers. I hold the view that to help others is to help ourselves because some day we may also need help from others. Yes?

Hello my friend williamjisir JI,
So nice of you for your positive and favourable comments. If one helps anyone , including strangers, one will do help oneself as you opine, and what I think is 'SOUL IS GOD', so ultimately we help God and in return God always help with it's dividends.
May God bless You and have a great time.

As a Pastor I try not to show my pet peeves, but as a human, I dont like to eat at people's house when it is messy. I am I guess overly neat NOW. I was not always as neat as I am now but not really messy. I got married, and my husband is a little obsessive about a clean house, so I spend an awful lot of time making that happen for him. However, it also made me notice that other people's home is not nearly as clean as mine, my mothers or his mothers homes and I feel uncomfortable eating. I would never be crass enough to ever say that and I will not turn it down if offered unless I was allergic, which is usually the case because I am allergic to milk, fish, and garlic, and luckily this is usually what is cooking, which saves me a lot.

Hello pastorkayte. I agree that one can enjoy more of himself eating in a nice and clean environment. When we eat outside in a restaurant, if it is not hygenice to our standard, we would choose to go to another one for it.
Also I have another pet peever, that is, I don't like my books to be spoiled by those who borrow from me. I love to see my books always nice and in good condition. Take care, my dear friend.

Hello my friend, a very happy 2010 to you! My pet peeve is quite simply Spam! I hate it, I loathe it, it irritates me and I even had to change my email address because I was getting plagued with it. I have filters sure, but I was incensed by people using my personal and private email address to obviously sign me up to contestable emails trying to sell me viagra and other obnoxious x-rated stuff which I don't wish to see. I spent ages changing my email and what happens, more! I thought spam was illegal obviously not, sad to say the internet is not well policed and spam will never be made extinct.

Hello wolfie. Yes, it makes us feel so upset if we receive some trash mails that we dislike. I used to have such experience, so I can see how frustrated you may feel with spam. Enjoy yourself, dear wolfie.

Quite a few have been covered here. I like for the toilet lid to be down. My dog has a tendency to try and drink from the bowl. Even when there is water out for her. All I can say is ewww!

Mine is when people chew with their mouths open. Some people dont even notice they are doing it but my grandmother is the absolute worst. I cant stand to be around when she eats unless there is a background noise that I can concentrate on so I dont hear it and I just dont take my eyes off of my own plate. She never notices even though I have mentioned it a few times. I dont want to hear you chew your food and I definitely dont want to see it! Yuck!

My neighbours are old people. They have two tenants. They have obsession about water supply. Every other minute they put motor for one full hour and the noise of the motor is like a big machine sound. Though there are three families living there, still how much water they require? Our consumption takes 15 minutes of motor. They should either operate the motor for 75 minutes or even 1.50 hours. Why should they keep the motor on for 4 hours daily? The tenants happily use water without any restriction. But I am the sufferer with the loud noise. I cannot rest a while in the noon and early morning, when I am in deep sleep, they on the motor. I am getting mad. I get head ache quite often due to this sound. It is a 40 years old motor and they refuse to change it. This is my pet peeve, if I understood the words properly.

Hello Buchi_bulla. You have understood the words properly. If I were in your situation, I am sure that I would suffer from the same headache from the loud noise made by the 40-year-old motor.
Last year and the year before last, there was a sand-digging machine / truck digging sand from the poor small river outside my apartment building making so much noise at night that I could not sleep well. As a result, I had to turn on my radio to avoid hearing the noise outside to make me fall asleep. It is really annoying when noise is made during sleeping hours. So I can see how frustrated you might feel at the noise. Take care, friend.

You can lock people out of your laptop's main hard drive and restrict them to a flash drive external hard drive, or USB pen drive with a number of programs dedicated to those systems.
*
A program like Everstrike password protects folders or drives, confining others to the folders, files, and programs you want them to have access to. You can add a USB stick to give your stranger-friend-other a bit of extra goof room. There are also programs that are ultra-portable enough to ride around on a USB stick so the untrusted need not access the main hard drive at all.

Or the simplest trick is to lock up said lappy away.

I hit the reply too soon.
*
I have an auditory condition that is related to mild Autism. High pitched sounds can give me a roaring migraine that can last for days. I must take medication when these hit, that endangers my heart.
*
There are parents out there that encourage their children to use 'outdoor' and very high pitched squeals or whining rather than taking the time to teach them to speak quietly. Many of these children are in the six plus age range, well old enough to speak in an 'indoor' voice. Or they don't put their toddlers down for a nap and instead take 'fussy' shopping for hours instead.
*
There are times where a fussy child isn't avoidable, like the E.R. Room, but the movie theater late at night at an R rated attraction doesn't rate.

I have a lot of pet peeves!
I hate it when I'm driving and there is no other car behind me, I have to slow down because some jack@$$ wants to pull out in front of me and go very slow in a no passing zone.
I don't like it when someone thinks that they can just take or use something of mine without asking, truth is if I'm asked first I'll most likely give it.
Kids that think they can cross a street or play in it with no regard to traffic, thinking that they are invincible.
People that chew with their mouth open gets on my nerves....I don't want to hear or see their food.
People that wear strong/heavy smelling perfumes in a restaurant, I want to taste my food and not taste what they are wearing.
Same thing with people that have really bad body odor....if someone is going out somewhere you would think they would throw a little bit of deodorant on, at least.
People that think they can sing but can't and sing at the top of their lungs.
People that think they have to constantly have drama in their lives, you know the ones that have to involve everyone else in their problems and involve others.
I have a lot more but think I'll turn into one of your pet peeves....being someone that keeps typing and can't stop, writing answers as long as a book to where I would need to start adding chapters and titles....

Hello mzz. In fact, like you I have more than one pet peeves. For example, I don't like other people ask me about my personal affairs unless I am happy to talk about it out of my own will during the conversation, but there are some people who like to ask and talk about it. I feel embarrassed about it and consider it to be privacy. Thank you for the comment, dear friend. Enjoy your life.

Hey williamjisir! I have alot of pet peeves! I am just not sure
which ones to list! I basically don't really like anyone touching
my "stuff" at all! I don't really have a problem with anyone
using my computer as long as I'm sitting relatively close by!
It's more of a "personal" stuff thing! I don't lend clothes
and personal objects! I don't like people to invade my "personal
space"! I'm not germaphobic like some of my friends, I just
don't like sharing certain things!

I could write chapters like mzz663, but I will try to limit it a few. I also hate it when people don't close thier mouths or make sounds while eating. I have taught my kids not to do this, but I do have to say - I do catch them once in a while. My biggest pet peeve is when I'm eating - I can't stand it when someone "touches" my feet (good thing hubby never played footsies!!!!). I know I'm the one with the problem here, but I really do hate that. Also, I agree with crafty corner about children with loud voices inside. We have to constantly remind our nephew that he need to use his "inside" voice (he is ALWAYS forgetting... (right)).

Hello rainingdove. I appreciate your response and I agree with you that it is not a good habit to eat with a loud noise, which could be annoying.

OOO, I have a few. I don't lie when people look at what Im doing on the computer, not even my boyfriend. Also, I hate noises when people eat. Like slurping food or even the sound of drinking out of a glass, I use straws and bottles. Food noises are like nails on a chalkboard to me! Im not sure why it bothers me so much it just does. I guess I have some weird pet peeves.

Hello friend. When we kids were small, my father used to tell us not to eat our food with noises. So we learned not to. I think that it is a good habit to eat quietly. Thank you for the comment. Have a good day.

What is peeve my friend? Is it the same with favorite?
Just like me my favorite her is my desktop. Many neighbor's
would like to use and then pay for the time they want to spent
in my computer but I will not allow them. For the reason that
I don't know what they are going to do. And might be the thing
they surf can create viruses on my computer and that is one I
hate most.
If I have the sad day , I will go to computer and do things that
could make me leisure and happy for the things I wanna see and read.
Same as your opinon that I only allow my daughters. neices, nephews
and relatives to hands on but those not related one I will not
let them use. I want this as private for I don't like my files to
read and erases/deleted. Hope you are doing fine . Have a handsome
Sunday heheheheh!
