Do you ever have nightmares after watching something on TV?

I had a sort-of nightmare last night.. I was watching the Law & Order SVU marathon on USA (yes - they had ANOTHER one!) and it was a really scary/weird episode that I ended up falling asleep to. So I had kind of a bloody dream about people getting killed. It was pretty weird, but luckily I can't remember most of the details.
Even as an adult, do you ever have "nightmares"? Specifically after watching something on TV or in a movie?

it depends actually i dont keep track of my nightmares, but i cant say that i always have them after watching something scary on tv, cuz there are times that i watched several horror movies and had a good uneventful sleep after that, but there are times that i have night mares for no reason at all, i didn't watch scary movies or had bad experience, it really weird. but i think i most likely will have a bad dream wen i sleep with full stomach

interesting!this was just recently.I watched OMEN, the first one, and i had a terrible, really terrible nightmare. it was not really about horror stuff but it was really ominous, more based on what could really happen in my life. i was glad it was just a dream. i just decided not to watch too much movies of that sort before going to bed. whew!

Yes it has happened to me several times after watching something scary so I try not to watch scary movies anymore before I go to sleep or if I am home alone I won't watch them and even if someone is with me I still get scared.

Sometimes i did,and there are also good movies and the actors which i will dream after watching.Maybe it is related with our brain activity, but what exactly is it,i don`t know clearly.

English horror movies dont have much effect on me, blood in the scenes might frightened me but later when I sleep at night I know I wont be having nightmares.
Have you tried watching Japanese Horror Movies? I did and the horrifying scenes will always come back in my mind specially before I sleep at night. I can imagine the look on their face coming for me. Isn't that scary? Somehow characters are coming into life.
