Do you eat breakfast?

'Breakfast like a king, have dinner like a pauper!' - that's what my grandmother used to say. And she is right, you know? Breakfast is the most important meal to set you up for the day.
But that doesn't change that I just can't face eating so early in the morning before work! I try to have a glass of fruit juice, but I am not usually hungry until noon.
Do you have breakfast?

I try to have breakfast every morning if I can.. sometimes I just don't get to it. Sometimes it's toast and juice, sometimes it is cereal or even a bagel at times. I feel it is the most important meal of the day because it gives you that boost you need to make it through your day.

I still think that boost is a rumour! It just doesn't work for me. :-)

Yes, I eat breakfast. I don't eat the typical breakfast foods like cereal, etc. I eat whatever I have in the fridge that I like...lol (may even be chicken).

I suffer the same effects. The moment i wake up, it takes me AT LEAST an hour to get hungry, and by that time i'm out and about doing my daily business. The only times i do get hungry earlier.. I never leave time to eat! So a drink of smoothie in the morning is quite useful.

Yes, it is good to have something in the stomach and a drink is easier in the morning as food.

Hye Taraelocin!
From my very Childhood I am too run away from Breakfast but if I don't Take it I Got lusty Blows on my Head and on my Face for skipping away from Breakfast.
But with the Passage of Time with the Maturity I starting Love to take Breakfast because of my Favourite Dishes in Breakfast like Samosa,Paua and Sandwich with Milk.
So Love then to Take Breakfast everyday afterall its always bases on my wishes.

No, I don't eat breakfast in the morning either. i just like to spend the extra early morning time by just sleeping more. But I can handle not having breakfast, I could have a snack before Lunch if I was really hungry. Usually I am able to last till Lunch.

You are right. To eat breakfast would need to get up much earlier so I am awake enough to be able to face food. I rather sleep!

Breakfast is always the first thing I do in a day. Recently though, I wake up too late in the afternoon that there is no way to eat breakfast..I end up eating what's there for lunch or snack. What's important is that I value food very much and that I understand that it's what I should have the moment I wake up. I know how important it is to start the day so I never skip it deliberately. :D

Well, whenever you get up - if it is your first meal of the day it kind off is breakfast.

Hi,
Sometimes I eat breakfast but most of the time I can't eat breakfast when I first wake up, my stomach just can't handle it. I know I should eat breakfast each and every day but I don't. My schedule is also all wacky so I'm not awake most of the time when breakfast comes around, which is bad too but without a job I don't have a reason to wake up early anymore.

I think it's one of those things that a body needs to settle down first after getting up and if you rush around in the morning you are just not ready for breakfast. It is easier if you take your time in the morning - I don't. I rather sleep longer.

Not sure cookies would count as breakfast, but I am fully with you on that one!

I don't eat breakfast because I normally don't wake up until after 12pm so my lunch kinda becomes my breakfast.:D

I get jealous here - I'd love to get up that late. But then I guess you have to work later as well.

Yes, I always eat breakfast every morning, because somehow I always get hungry when I wake up in the morning. I know that eating breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so I always make my children eat breakfast too before they go to school. I want them to be healthy and have enough energy to do their activities until lunch time.. :)

It just feels to me that it takes too much time in the morning to prepare breakfast.

Yes if i can I do eat breakfast.
It is indeed the most important meal of the day since it has been more than 8 hours since you ate. Although you have been sleeping and only used a small amount of energy during that period of time, your body needs nourishment and it won't help if you skip meals.
As of the moment I've been having troubles eating my breakfast for the following reasons:
I'm late for school.
I woke up too late to call it breakfast.
Eat your breakfast!

:-) You might have to eat on the way to school then if you are running late.

I used to, still like to. I may skip lunch but not dinner. I like breakfast, cereals, pancakes, cakes, whatever. Actually, i just like "sweet" taste. Nowadays, holiday perhaps, I'm having my breakfast rather late, almost noon so lunch is usually skipped. In a way, use less money haha. I know, not very bright---not healthy, but I'm also quite lazy.

I am a 'sweet' girl, too. A late lunch is acceptable for me as well, but I usually go straight to lucnh.

Growing up, I was always encouraged to eat breakfast every morning. Now, it's just sort of become natural and automatic for me to have a bit of breakfast in the morning. Usually I'll have a nice bowl of cereal, yet if I have enough time, I will go even further and do myself a bit of bacon, toast, eggs etc

I was encouraged to, but I was having none of it! I'm just not made for early morning eating.

Yeh i try to eat breakfast everyday but if i get up really late at like 12 o'clock i just go straight onto my dinner. This doesn't happen too often, just a few times during the holidays when i don't have to rush up for whatever reason. But i find having breakfast certainly wakes me up and makes me feel more alert on a morning :)

I didn't know you had warm food for breakfast in China - sounds like my kind of country. My mother used to make me pancakes in desperation to get me to eat something in the morning and I only ate warm food.
