When Christmas is over what do you wish to have/achieve by next Christmas?

When you put away the trimmings and tree for next year what do you want to have done by the time you get them back out of the attic next year?
I want my family to have increased and not decreased and for everyone to be in reasonably good health.
I have had such a good day yesterday and today that I would love to feel like I am now!
Please be selfish and tell me your hopes for yourself and family not for the world! oh and I wish everyone a Very Happy New Year x

I want to be happy. Big breakup really threw me for a loop, and I'm learning how to be happy.
Also, I really want my family to actually decorate next year, we did nothing. And I want to be attending a different college. O_o

I just want my family and friends to be safe and healthy and hopefully make it to the next year. If they don't, I'll see them in the next world.
I kind of sad when all the Christmas flowers and the Nativity scene is put away. This year, the first that I am alone, I've put away everything but the greenery. It looks nice and wintry and cheers up the house!

I can understand and recognise where you are coming from. You wonder dont you what would have happened by the time you bring it all out again. Must stay positive though as it is not only bad but many good things can and will happen. Good luck x

Thanks for the new year wishes. My goal for next Christmas is to get more of my shopping done ahead of time. Maybe have everything bought by about October, so as to skip out on the holiday rush. I hate last-minute shopping, yet I find myself doing it every year. I want to be in a better place financially when that time of the year comes around, and I want to have all of my presents taken care of.. Before 2 months until the holiday. (Or at least the bulk of it). I also want to be about 30 pounds lighter and actually look cute in my Christmas pictures..But hey, I don't know if I'll make any progress on THAT goal

We should keep this and look back on it next year to see if we have all met our goals x.
I hope you reach yours.

I have very specific goals for this 2010. For some reason I am well aware of how my pay is not enough but my faith that God will provide is just amazing. So for Christmas 2010, I wish I will be in a Christmas mood where I have enough funds to spend to buy gifts and also hopefully I am able to save enough to target a higher amount for the succeeding years. As always, good health and better opportunities for my family.

A fellow Brit! It's marvellous when I find one and thanks for wishing us all a Happy New Year. Same to you my friend. Obviously, I want my family and my husband's family to be healthy throughout 2010 and beyond. However, from a purely selfish point of view I really do need to find a job this year. It's not that I'm mega materialistic (although there are many things I want to do to this house), it's just that we have no dependants, my hubby is paying for everything and I just want to help him financially. He is so supportive and it's about time I repaid his loyalty by bagging that elusive job!

I have struggled alot since July 2008, due to physical injury that has caused on going medical issues, that have forced me to now be applying for long term disability. So for me 2010 needs to be a big year. My goals are 1) To get my disability issues settled so I will have a source of income. 2)To finally get my wounds healed for good, and get my health back. 3) To go back to school and finish my degree in Business Administration, and double major in Digital Media Design. With this type of degree I can freelance, work from home, and eventually get off of government supported disability. And 4) To pay back my family for the financial support they have given me over the last 6 months that I have not had a source of income. So basically my goals are to get my life back, and have the freedom to really do what I want with it.

I hope to move into a new apartment on a better bus route. I might even hope to move states, bu only to one where there is an ADAPT chapter. I'm really tired of being the only person in my area who is a member. I hope to get into the Alternative Journalism Academy which would put me in Chicago, an ideal city for me, except that it's cold. I hope to read 100 books by next Christmas. I hope to have a job that requires me to go to a real office instead of working at home all the time. An office would be structurally good for me. I hope to spend a lot more time with my honorary nieces and nephews.

For us we want to get through our wedding without actually falling out with any of our family who quite frankly need a little of your christmas spirit and realise that this wedding is for us NOT them!
We really want to try for another baby too after the wedding in april im praying that by christmas we will be pregnant with a healthy baby I want my girls to be happy and healthy as always and thats about it really, my husband to be and our girls are the most important things to me so my general wishes for this year are the same as all years that we make it through another year happy and together and healthy and if we could start the process of increasing our family by one well then that would be the icing on the cake for us :o)

I already have a good idea what to get everyone next year. However, people always grow out of things or say they want something else a week before Christmas. You can never really shop early. I'm just gonna set aside a few dollars each week and put it into a Christmas savings account.
Happy New Year! I hope I answered your question correctly.

And a Very Happy New Year to you and your family too!
By next Christmas I hope my old trousers fit again! It is not a New Year resolution as I started in September, but I plan to take it steadily and slowly so by next Christmas they should fit. And I hope I've travelled all over the world so I can get fancy Christmas presents for my friends. Of course, this means I hope the world is doing reasonably well so it is nice to travel around *he he* And I hope the fried of mine who keeps talking about studying for a year in Edinburgh does so so I can go visit her and work on my Scottish accent.
