Have you ever been in- love with your best- friend?

I was. It was way back in college. We were classmates since highschool and then schoolmates during college. He would always be there for me willing to laugh at my corny jokes,listen to my boring stories and help me when I need it. Until, one day I just found myself falling in love with him. Why would I not fall for him? He is so sweet, smart, fun to be with, cool, sporty and caring. The hard part of being a bestfriend of someone you like more than just a friend is when you have to listen to his stories about a girl that he really likes! Though I would always smile while I'm listening to him deep inside I am hurting. One day I had the guts to tell him what I feel for him. I did not receive any response or comment from him. He stayed the same- the ever caring and sweet best- friend I have. Then one day I just realized what a fool I am for hoping we will be more than friends. I am happier to be just his best- friend. I no loger want to ask for more. My feelings for him as someone more than just a best- friend finally dwindled until it became platonic again. Until now though we no longer communicate that much he is still my best bud ever! I am glad we stayed that way. :)
