She going to be a contributor on Fox News. But won't anchor her own show. What actly do you think that means? How often do you think she will be on? I know there are Palin lovers and Palin haters on this board. But to be honest. YOu have to admit.....she has done a good job of turning a failed bid for VP into some pretty great deals for herself and her family. So what do you think of Palins new job?

I think that she fits right in with the other "contributors" on FOX. The great thing about her being on there is now we will have a one stop shop for all of the right wing wackos on the planet. OH YEAH!!!

That's just it Lil. They won't be swelling with more conservative viewers, they'll be swelling with the left wing extremists that can't take their eyes off her. Many people don't realize how they contribute to the popularity of those they hate.

now now...no need to call names like "wacko". Just because someone has different political views than you does not make them crazy. But that is exactly why they chose her. HEr fans will watch to see her and the people who hate her will watch her tooo. The ratings are going to be huge.

Oh I fully exspect annie to pop in here before long. LOL. I am surprised she beat me to the post. As for Palin. I actually kinda like her. I also don't blame her for quiting being Gov. She and her hushand were not rich. Everytime someone brought an ethics compliant against her she had to spend her own money on lawyers. It does not matter that she was found innocent....the lawyer still wants his money. Politics is a rich mans game. They knew she was not rich so they kept throwing those ethics complaints out there knowing they were bleeding her dry. She knew it, they knew it. The complaints were not going to stop. So why take bankrupt your family. She left and now is making real money....which I heard she needs....she still owes big bucks to the laywers for all those complaints. It was a old but dirty political trick that works. Just most politicans are rich enough to be able to spend HUGE amounts on lawyers and not miss it. Not so for the Palins or most average folks. But you are right. She has a journalism degree so she may do really well at it. People either love or hate her. I don't see this changing anyone mind about her. I don't really watch Fox news.....but it is perfect channel for her. Meddows is probly falling all over herself right now. I am sure she will bash this for a least the next 6 months. MSNBC is probly about to pee their pants from excitement.

Lil, how dare you scoop me like this...lol? Actually, this is the first I'd heard this news. I just heard and read that she "will not have her own regular program but will host an occasional series, much as Oliver North does now." What do I think of it? Hmmm...let's see... I was going to say if it turned out to be too hard she'd probably quit but since it IS Fox News, that's not likely to happen, is it? It would be quite interesting to see how she conducts an interview of someone else, if she'll ever actually be doing something like that. Based on the interviews she's given, I have to wonder if she'd follow the Katie Couric brand or the Sean Hannity style...probably would depend on who the subject was. Basically, I can't resist saying...GOODY GOODY!! More material for me...lol!! Annie

Do you really believe her political career is over? I think she still has her eyes on 2012. I'm just trying to figure out how she's helping her state of Alaska by being n Fox's payroll; isn't that what she said she planned on doing when she quit as governor? Annie

I thought about you when I read it. I though oh my annie is going to have a field day with this. I also thought you might get upset I scooped you....but I figured you would understand. As for her at Fox....she does have a journalism degree so she might do ok. I don't really watch Fox but I think it is the best channel for her. More of a fan base for her. Personally I dont' blame her for dumping politics. It is a dirty, rough game and who really want to be in the middle of all the BS? I know you could not pay me enough to run for public office. She political days are over...no matter how much people speculate to increase tv ratings or rile the public.I guess now she is building a new career in TV. Carvel did it. He practically lives on CNN. So why not her.

It's not fair! You totally ruined my opportunity to post a "Annie loves Sarah" music video and it was going to be so awesome!!!

Don't worry Irish. I'm sure your day will come. After all, I'm sure Annie will be watching her like a hawk whenever she's on TV, or at least scouring the blogs to get juicy bits from those who do.

Actually she won't be watching Fox news more for it though. All her information will come from MSNBC watching Fox news.

What do I think? I'm not surprised since her main focus has been all about staying in the limelight since the election. If that's what she wants to do, great, but let's put a lid on talk about a future run for the presidency from this woman.

This is true. As you indicated at the top, Palin is a very polarizing figure and that's not good politically. I'm not sure how well she'll do on FOX. Will the ditto heads tune it to see/hear her and up the ratings? Only time will tell.

...Hi lilwonders456, I think she is going to hane a platform to put out her opinions, and get paid for them. They will call on her for what she thinks about various political issues and Obama policies and she will say what she thinks. Perfect place for her, these are her people. She thinks of them as "fair and balanced" as the Fox network promotes itself. Laugh out loud twice. She as many have said, needs to study. If she does well, they may let her have her own show, and as some have said as well, she may find that this stage may be better than the presidency, which I do think she wants to try for, because there is no accountability. She has made millions during her 15 minutes of fame and she is lengthening her time. Unless of course, she starts in on the fact that she doesn't know why there are two Koreas. Lsugh out loud again. Take care.

I am interested to see how she does. Could go eiter way. As for making millions....she may have made it.....but she has not got to keep it. Most and I mean a huge chunk went to pay her lawyers. They are the ones who got rich off this whole thing...not her.

I've always figured Fox News Contributers is another way of saying regular guests on fox news.. and I notice they come from conservative and liberal leanings.

Fox News' rating will go through the roof... Now I really wish I had my dish back... I mean not only for Fox News but can you just see how the other networks are just going to be spinning on this one! She will be on every station. Honestly with reading her book I hope this means a lot of talk of all these programs and policies she was a part of. I would love to hear her talk about Alaska. This is why Fox is doing so great, they know what the people want. She's got the experience and the eduction to go with the job... I think she will do great and a commentator.

She probably wont anchor her own show because that will hold her down. She is shining right now and needs the ability to go with it. I am a Palin supporter, I think she is great, I love her no-nonsense conservative views. I think her contributing position is perfect.

Those poeple will tune in to see her so they have something to yell about....which means high ratings for her. Palin is laughing all the way to the bank with this one. Smart move on her part.

It is hard to see that this would help much if she was aiming for running in 2012 for president(or vp). She has many supporters and fans but probably not enough in the established GOP to be in line to run for either position in 2012.

I am not sure how much she can give to Fox News. Her interview then with katie Couric turned into a mockery. I hope that she does well there.

Well, I think she will do well in that field. I can see that she is a very public person. She likes to be in front of people, she has leadership skills, style and the guts to be able to easily make it on Fox news. I think she should be given a break.

Actually I think this is going to be a way for Fox News to get their views and the views of Sarah Palin out without her having to be the face of the comments... Because alot of people agreed with Sarah Palin but because of who it was saying it and her being a woman and all, i think thats what really shout her down out of the lead. I think they will phase her in slowly but definitely surely. I agree with you she is definitely an opportunist and she has a family at the end of the day like everyone she must provide for.. I just personally dont care for any of her views or ways about doing things.

I would not call taking advantages of opportunities or job that are offered to you as being an opportunist. If so than everyone in the world who has ever quite one job to take another one with better pay and benfits is an opportunist too.
