HR Interview

I had a HR interview yesterday, and i was asked a que: "lot of Non-IT students are competing with u IT students for these software engineering jobs instead of gng into their core jobs, right? Wats ur vision on this?" Wat wud u have answered if u r faced with this que in ur interview??

ive seen myself non engg students being good and may a times better than engg students perhaps its because non engg learn from experience while engg students learn from books.

Hi Sandy! I would have said, "Well, first point is if Non-IT students are capable of performing well in these software engineering jobs then there is nothing wrong in it. If Employers find that these Non-IT students can do the required job then they will hire them or else they go for IT students only. I think it is all because of the lack or orientation in our education system that we study something and we need to do something else while we join a job. Any employer can tell that a fresh graduate need to be trained for any job for a while only then he can be ready for the job. So that shows the gap between the college education and the real work skills requirement. If good opportunities are there for every filed of education then people will stay in their field only. Otherwise they have every right to go for the field that they want to. Happy Mylotting!
