We all tried some diet. But they don`t work.
We all know that changingour eating habits is a way forward,so why do you deside to go on diet?

Hi Mannyinspiringfit
Well a diet can be a good or bad thing if your eating bad you have a bad diet if your eating good your diet is good so to me the word diet simply means what I am EATING not what I am denying myself to eat
And I agree with you diets don't work for me portion control does I just make greater efforts to eat healthier such as buying the Healthy Harvest whole wheat spaghetti noodles instead of the white noodles I cut way back on salt and fried foods as well as deserts. I limit my white food products such as white flour, sugar, pasta,ect.. just simple changes I still eat spaghetti just in a different way and it tastes just as good if not better my kids like it too I add a lot more vegetables to my dishes then I did in the past.
I use vegetables as fillers instead of meat I don't drink soda and don't eat icecream I do like the Kashi bars but if I want a peice of candy I eat it if I want some chips I eat it but I limit the amount I eat without having to deny myself anything I want ... If I do that more than likely I will binge and thats something I am not trying to do.
A fitness instructor once told me that for a lot of people there few pleasures in life and eating is one of them I tend to agree eating is a pleasure just find other ways to prepare it and you can still have the things you like it may take some getting used to in some cases but for me overall eating healthy tastes pretty good!

well done...Se you are making a healthy choices, but it is still tasty eating. You feel good, your kids feel good..and you can still enjoy your meals, and ocasion candy bars or "cheat" meal.
I think that is a great way to be.
YEs,you want to have some pleasure, you want to have a food, which we can call a bad one,but very tasty.
Keep doing what you are doing, you are on the right track.
Well done..
Thanks for the response

Select an exercise pattern to suit your life style. All of us have different life styles and professions so there is no sense in trying to follow the book strictly. Try and follow an exercise routine that is suitable for you. You have to understand that even more important than the exercise it is sticking to it. So unless you choose something that can suit your life style, you are not going to stick on to it.

i don't think i've really tried any diet, like the low carb one etc, but just changed my eating habbits. like not as much sugar, eating less food at meal times. it's working just doing things slowly, and now i can't eat as much, but still wil get the cravings for sugar like chocolate so will indulage in eating it if i can. then won't touch it for a 2-4 weeks after wards.
i wanted to lsoe weight when i started out a yr ago, and have lost 12/13 kg in a yr. which i'm proud of.

Well I changed my diet and in a couple of months I lost 20 pounds. :) I wasn't even exercising at the time either. People talk about how they want to lose weight so they have to eat less calories. But honestly, do calories play a major role on your weight loss? How could I lose 20 pounds in 2 months from just diet. Well, I ate only organic foods in their natural state, sometimes cooked on occasion. I think a lot of the weight and fat we gain is from Mucus getting trapped into all parts of the body. As well all know, the organic foods clean the mucus out the body. Well, I ate a lot of fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds and in 2 months I lost all this weight and you can see the difference in how much my stomach and face have shrunken. :)
