who here among my fellow mylotters TALK when fast sleep, say aye! in the medical world, this phenomenon is termed SOMNILOQUY. this basically refers to a condition wherein the person talks out loud ranging from simple sounds to long speeches and may occur many times during sleep.... i for one, am a sleep-talker.. i hate it when my siblings tease me that i blurted out a secret or two when i was fast asleep.. my father would even have follow up questions and guess what???? i actually answer them... God knows what i have been blabbing about... well, they say it runs in the family.. it's true though, my brother talks too.. hahahah... it's funny but soooo embarrassing... do you talk when you sleep too???

My mom told me that I once carried on a full conversation with her while I was asleep. Other than that, I don't talk in my sleep to my knowledge. I had a friend who once asked, "Do you want fries with that?" while she was fast asleep. It was funny.

Well it wasn't horrible bad because Mom was just trying to get me to get up for a lunar eclipse or something that I had said I wanted to go see. We had a full conversation about how I'd told her to wake me up and now I didn't want to get up. Then the next morning I asked mom, "Why didn't you wake me up?" and she was confused because when I was asleep I'd told her that I didn't want to get up. So no deep-dark-secrets exposed or anything. It was still pretty funny though.

No, I never talk when I'm sleeping but I remember I smiled when I sleep. One of my roomates in university, Pauline, she always talks when sleeping. But most of the time I didn't know. Another roomate, Daisy told me that Pauline said English one night, Chinese the other night and English and Japanese a night. I felt it's very interesting. But we don't think it matters. We think she's cute.
