Do you report to the manager or supervisor if there are employees or workers who do not give good service to you? We all know the value of customer satisfaction, and that businesses always welcome any comments or feedback from their customers. I know that there had been times when you think the service given is very poor or that the sales personnel do not seem to know their job. Do you look for the manager and make a report? Doing this will greatly improve services the next time.

Once I had to train someone for a new job. This man liked to talk about non work related things when we were training. I do not think it is wrong to chat about these sorts of things, as long as it is not excessive. However he would not stop. Eventually I would joke and say.."Okay we need to get back to work now..." We would and he stop for a little while and then start again. Then he did something that was not good...he would doze off while I was training him. He would tell me.."I am sorry I need some more caffiene.." He drank anough coffee to stay awake for days so I do not think it was going to help. He did not seem to be learning anything and I had to say something to my boss about it. The next day I was told he was not coming back. I feel bad in a way, but he just was not interested in learning his job and wasting my time.

It completely depends on the management as to whether that will help or not. More and more lately it seems a complaint just gets more attitude from the manager than the original offender. I think if poor service is the rule in the business you are visiting, then don't waste your time, these things come from the head down. Employees that care are a sign of a manager who cares and vice versa. If it is a locally owned business. contact the owner instead.

hi cutie,
Actually, I really don't report any person or employee due to their bad service. I would love to but, I always think of what might happen to that person afterwards. I just tell to that specific person (right in front of his face) to do his job well and he might lose his job if he doesn't do it properly.lolz haha! I've met some customer rep that are so rude, as if he is having an awful day...but I had been a fronliner for so long and I do know how to treat customer properly. It's their job! But at the same time I don't want to jeopardize anyones job so, I just tell them if their doing a bad service or their having an attitude.

Absolutely! I work in health care and supervise anywhere from 4-8 CNAs per day. If I know that they are doing something not quite right and do not report it, not only will they get in far more trouble when they are caught, but I will go down with them. It is difficult to write people up and I feel terrible, but it is part of my job and people's lives depend on us. I have even had to write myself up a couple of times! Now that just felt ridiculous.

Hello Cutie,
I was about to start a discussion on this very subject when I saw your post. Ive noticed lately that customer service is just about non-existent. They hire students partime to work in most stores here. Nearly all of them are chatting on their cells or texting and wont give you the time of day even if you stand in front of them for 15 mins. Ive also seen managers do the same. So no use reporting to managers!! I once needed something at a store and I knew they had what I was looking for but the young sales guy didnt want to bother going in the backstore to get it. I REALLY needed it right then and there. So I just want to the back and marched right into the backstore and found what I was looking for. Some other sales people saw me, Im pretty sure the manager saw me also but nobody did anything to prevent me from being somewhere I shouldnt be in. I then marched to the cash and paid for what I wanted.
I always make sure they charge me for the items I buy. Ive noticed that more and more mistakes are being done and its NEVER in MY favor.
Why is it that way now?

The managers should see this as a great interest as its the only way to really grow their own customer base and improve customer satisfaction, if you have time do it there and then if not get their name or email and mail them a note
