If you will be given the chance to visit your secondary school and/or college university who among your subject teachers you will be looking forward to see? why? can you share a significant experience with that particular teacher of yours and the learnings you had being her or his students. Thanks for sharing and have a great weekend!

hello msfrancisco! well given a chance, i would love to meet again my first grade teacher! hehe she's mrs. reyes... she's so patient to us and she's really kind, and i don't know its been years since the last time i saw her but whenever i saw her, i feel different happiness inside of me and i am always thankful to her... with my secondary teachers, i like to meet again my adviser when i was on my third year...she's someone who always gives advises to us, haha funny coz every end of the grading period, she checks our notebooks and she always write something there...some piece of advises and some comments about us, whether negative or positive...i want to see her again to say thanks for all those advises that she gave me that i think helps me a lot in developing my personality and for her to see that i really do follow her advises and apply it in my life...she's someone who taught me to be more confident and to believe on myself... and lastly, for my college professor, i would love to meet again my professor in most of my subjects in business...she's the strict type of prof but i like her so much, coz i am challenged to her and really learned a lot. i like her to see that i do good in my life now and take the opportunity to thank her... i know all of them would be happy to know that i, one of their student have been successful in my life and they are part of this success that i have... and they are also part of who i am now... i am always thankful to all my teachers & professors from elementary to college... but most of all, i am thankful to my very first teacher...my MOM!

you saw your teacher from grade 1 last december? wow! that's great, me, the last time i saw mine was i think i am still on college or just newly grad...and now, i don't have any nes about her...she's already old that time but all i know is that she already retired and just become active in their religion... i guess most teachers reacts that way when seeing their former students and it brings good feeling to them to see how they students become... with my secondary teacher, she's mrs. yabut (sorry that i forgot their first names) i do have memory gap sometimes. yeah, i will try to look for my old notebooks where she writes her advises & comments to me. i also like her glamor...hehe yeah right! and cheers to our moms! even Rizal have her mother as his first teacher!

Hi CK, At least you still have the chance to see your grader teacher. our grader teachers are all great. without their being so patient we will be never like this. i saw my grade 1 teacher last december during the alumni homecoming in our schjool. she's mrs. elizabeth britanico. i was so happy seeing her. we gave eacvh other a hug. it was a great moment friend. i admire your secondary teacher too for haivng the heart to give you positive and negative feedback and advises that you will keep. i am sure you and some other classmates of your still keep some of her notes. oh it will be nice if you can look for one and show it to her once you visit and see her one of these days. they will always be part of of our success and we will be forever grateful to them. of course mom will always be our first teacher and no need to wait for mother's day to express our thanks to them...we are so lucky that we experience all these things and we still have mom with us that we can express all our love anytime we want to. thanks friend!

Oh, this one is easy! It would definately be Dr. Downs. He was a University professor of Journalism and one of the first to truly believe in me and my writing! Definatly my mentor, and someone I look up to. He cared about every student that came through the doors of his classroom. He made learning fun, and taught me alot.

In high school, I remember how devoted to the subject my Government teacher was. I see him today on television, as he has since become a lawyer. I can gather from his commercials that he is still very much interested in justice and also the environment. It impresses me that he has remained faithful to his values these many years. Karen

Hi MsFrancisco, If given the chance, I would visit my secondary school. It is where I had fun and happy memories in my school life. I heard that one of our language teachers is currently sick. I would like to pay her a visit. I like this particular teacher because she was also in charge of teaching us to do crafts. I learned to do many things from her and it was from this teacher that my works were appreciated. There were things that I made that were even displayed in the principal's office and I was so proud of them.

Actually, I didn't choose teaching; it chose me. I refused to even consider the idea for a while and then it just sort of came about as a means to an end. After hurricane Katrina it was important to give something to a particular community that only I can give. Maybe I will do an article about it some day :-)

Hey, this is a really nice discussion that you have come up with. It brings back long past memories of my school days. And man, what days they used to be, simply having fun and no real hurry whatsoever, just take your own sweet time and do carefree anything in this high tension world out there! If I were supposed to go in my school, I would first like to meet my first standard teacher who had beared with all the laziness of mine in studying and then it was my tenth standard class teacher, who made me a house captain as it was the last year in school and I was glad that I was given a responsibility by her. Then ofcourse,, all the teachers and sir who taught us and made us capable enough to compete in this world!!

She taught us to write and read, she taught us how to count, she gave us the start in the life! That's why I will always remember her as the best teacher I ever had!

Nun - Of the teachers there is one teacher one nun who I would wish to see.
I would love to see my class teacher of the 9th standard a nun. She was very gentle, never raised her voice and was very modern in her thinking. Normally nuns encourage students to join the convent but this nun once told me that I can do better things outside of a convent.

Hi Allknowing, Your response made me missed my kindergarten teacher. she's also a nun. her name is sister virginia saens, osa. she's soft spoken, patient, caring and always happy teaching us despite our being so noisy and inattentiveness. i know she inpsired me much too. her patience is overflowing that it made me become more patient too. She's right, now i know you are doing your mission outside the convent and making great things in your chosen career.

You really admired her because you can still remember her name and the way she taught you. I hope you will have any means to contact her. Please let her know that you are so grateful that she's your teacher. her being strict made you become even more a good person. I am with you in hoping that someday you'll meet again!

I really didn't like many of my professors in college, but I really miss my old English teacher.. from 8th grade in middle school! His name was Mr. Baldwin and he was super cool. I think he had a soft spot for me. I was going through my *gothic* phase, lol, and he taught me (after school) a lot about anarchism and communism and paid me to help teach other students how to play guitar in his after school class. It was sweet! I haven't seen him in probably about 8-9 years! It would be crazy to catch up with him again.. He was a cool dude!

Hi Maezee, That was a good break given to you by your teacher. imagine at an early age you already earned something for sharing your talent. your teacher saw that talent in you and in his simple way encouraged you to developed it. i know he will be happy seeing you and hearing some more good news from you as you seemed to be very successful now. he will be proud of you! thanks for responding!

Hi msf, I have one college teacher who really inspired me the most, in fact, she's the one who has unknowingly motivated me to shift my degree course to Psychology. She was a Doctor in Psychology and she has touched my life in such an amazingly positive way that I have become the person that I am today. When she passed away I knew that she has served her life well and she will be remembered with fondness and respect.

This is an easy one for me, the professor that I most would like to reunite with would be Dr. David Porta. The reasoning for this is that he was my first biology teacher after I started college, he was also the professor that taught my freshman focus course. With Freshman Focus we had an opportunity to get acclimated to college life and also to really get to know the professor. Because of that I chose him to be my faculty advisor and he was also more like a friend than a teacher. I learned a lot of things from him.

Hi Dorann, Wow he should read this comment of yours. he will be very happy to know that you learned so much from him. so, now i know why you have that ambition of being a pediatrician before (am i right? you mentioned that in my other discussion). maybe he's one of those who inspired you to be one.
