It's been years since I've even seen my hometown.I some times wish I could live there. It would probably feel weird to me to go back there and live. The people I used know there are gone. There would be different people. What about you? Do you still live in your hometown?

This is a very good question and thank you for posting itI don't live in my hometown anymore but visit as often as I can because my parents still live there. I left in July 2005 to live with my boyfriend (100 miles away) and to start a new job. Unfortunately, the job didn't last and since then I have been in an out of work. If I had stayed put I would probably be in work...but have no man. I never seem to have both going for me at the same time!

I lived in two places throughout my life. I've lived in the second since I was 8 and I actually love it here.

Helo, Java. I haven't lived in my home town since I was 9 years old - that's almost 50 years. I visit occasionally, and it's virtually unrecognisable now. The street where my parents and two of my uncles had businesses is now a huge bus station, and nobody I knew lives there any more. I live in Spain now, so I don't even live in my home country, which is the UK, any more. The way things are going there, I can't ever see myself returning there to live, though I like to go back to visit friends and family a couple of times a year.

I don't live in my hometown, but for the past 25 years or so we have lived in my husbands home town. It's a very small little town, the kind you can let your kids ride their bikes around in and not have to worry about them. There is a sense of security in knowing the name of almost everyone you run into in the course of a day. Our kids have loved growing up where everyone knows the antics their dad was up to when he was their age. They attend the same school that their dad and aunts and uncles went to, they love pointing out their relatives graduation pictures that hang on the walls at school. There might be more to do in a larger town or big city, but the sense of community we have here has been worth the trade.

Yes, I do. I left my hometown when I was 18 for college, but then I went back home after I graduated. Now, I'm married and my husband work in this town. So I still live here in my hometown with my husband and children, but I live separately from my parents. Actually my husband come from another town, so we sometimes go to his hometown to visit his parents.

No, I don't. I live about 100 miles away from my home town. I haven't been back there in years. I don't doubt that it's changed a lot. Even though some friends are still in the area I couldn't imagine living there now. Happy mylotting!

I have left my hometwwn for about 7 years, now I work in the big city about 500kms away from it. When holiday or special days I would go back because my parents and other relatives are still there.
