Guys and Gals My question to you is that whether your Windows XP operating system has ever crashed? My XP crashed thrice consecutively in the same week! Then came my saviour - Windows 7! No crashes or bugs for me in Windows 7!

yep. my xp has crashed many a times. this had been mainly due to bad/ incompatible software/driver installation. sometimes, malicious codes were the main problem for crashes too

My Windows Xp MCE never crashed since 3 years. its hard to believe but its true. being a geek i take special care of my system. i generally have two os's one for playing games, watching movies and a little multimedia stuff. while the other os is a full featured security system with internet facilities. my both the os's are rugged to do what they should do best. Run games and provide protection respectively.

XP has never crashed for me. It has already been a stable system for me. Perhaps I got lucky or you were unlucky with your Windows XP. Either way, I like Windows XP. It runs smoothly on my computer and works for what I need to do. I am in no hurry to trade up any time soon with any other Windows.

My last laptop with Windows XP crashed, but it had nothing to do with the operating system. I've been running off my current laptop (also XP) for about 4 years and it's never crashed on me. I'm quite satisfied with XP and intend to keep it as long as I can. Computers that have had Vista on the other hand...Every single one I've come across has been slow and full of defaults, including one that crashed and is sitting in my closet collecting dust. I have yet to use Windows 7, so I have no opinion on that thus far. Good luck with your new OS, hope it continues to work well for you.

Hi, kar295rocks. I think Windows XP operating system is relatively stable, and more mature. you can make several ghost version, when it crashed, you can restore WinXP operating system. Win7 is just beginning, i haven't found its shortcomings, but it need time to test.
