I have this type of ice cream in my freezer right now. I like the fat free ice cream, because it is more healthier for me as far as my body weight is concerned. And I like the no sugar added ice cream too, because it is good for my body. I don't like eating too many sweets that are very high in sugar. It is a very light taste and it tastes pretty good. But, the original flavor is so much better. It is creamier and I can taste the milk in it. What is your take on this type of ice cream? Do you eat it because you just like it or do you eat it because of your health issues? Please share your responses. Thanks!

I do like fat free/sugar free ice cream, and a lot of times do get that because I like it just as much as regular ice cream. The only exception is, I do love chocolate chip cookie dough, and I have found lower fat brands of that flavor, but it is harder to come by. But as far as vanilla ice cream goes, I would prefer to have fat free, to save the calories and fat grams. If I eat too much ice cream or even drink milk at all I get sick, I think it's the lactose, but even with milk, I prefer skim/fat free to regular. So I guess, I really can't tell much of a difference between fat free and regular, except, I think that fat free may melt quicker and be softer, but I'm not totally sure about that right off hand.

I've never tried it, neither fat free, low fat or no sugar added ice cream. I'm not even sure I can get it here. I used to it more Italian ice-cream when I lived in Austria, it's less fat than in the Norwegian ice-cream. And more flavours, although I never tried the red bull taste.

I have found that these type of ice creams taste just as good as the fully loaded sugar versions. My husband is diabetic and he has to have the no sugar added ice cream. So that is all we buy now and if you want ice cream, that is what you get at my house! Bryer's has some great flavors and taking the sugar out doesn't mean you are compromising any flavor. This is healhier for the entire family and we will never go back to the regular versions of ice cream! No way!

Everything for me has to be fat-free or no sugar added or sugar free, because of health issues. I think they taste just as good as the regular ice cream does, if I eat regular ice cream it just tastes so sweet, I guess I'm used to the sugar free kind. I like it though.

If it tasted like normal ice cream, then certainly! I am always looking for foods that are low in calories, fat, sugar, sodium, etc (y'know, all the bad stuff!) to be careful of my weight and health. However, if the food doesn't taste like the real thing, or has too many chemicals to compensate for the authentic ingredients that are missing, I would prefer to just have a smaller portion of the original.

Really not. Because their health issues don't compensate their bad taste. Because here in Brazil this kind of ice cream is terrible!!!!!!! I don't like this.

I prefer to eat full fat dairy if I am going to eat ice cream or have yoghurt. other than that, I will eat whatever tastes good, just in small amounts.

Ice Cream is a treat for me, and when I do eat it, it is the real stuff. I don't want anything with no sugar or something that is supposed to be fat free. To me, that takes all the guilty pleasure out of it. I don't think there's anything wrong with eating real ice cream, if you do it in moderation. Just like anything else.

I do enjoy fat free and no sugar added ice cream, in fact, I can't tell the difference between regular ice cream and this kind at all.

Like yogurt ice-cream, is it? I like the taste, it's very different from an original flavored ice-cream with all the sugars in it, but at the same time, a healthier version can be cool too. I just love everything and anything to do with ice-cream. Here's a tip that I have. Mix a bit of the sugar coated ice-cream like say one scoop to your many scoops of a healthy option. In that way, you get the best of everything, hehe. I tend to do that, so that I can enjoy a bit of sweetness but not much.

Hello Cream
I am on weight watchers and they have wonderful icecream and it to me taste just as good as the ones with sugar . Good thing is I know I am eating better , and not wasting calories when I am craving something on the sweet side . I wish when I was a teen in High school there would of been better foods out there . Weight watchers has everything now and so do smart ones! And yes they do seem to have more of a creamy taste . I know the reduced fast Giant Eagle ones does!

Personally I can't stand the flavor of fat free or sugar free ice cream, but, I think it's great that you do because we could all use a litte less fat and sugarin our lives. You go, girl!
I remember one time about a year ago I bought fat free Hershey's chocolate syrup and it was the nastiest tasting stuff. Yuck. I admire you for being able to eat that stuff.

I have not tried it yet. I usually eat the regular ice cream since I am not controlling my sugar intake. But I think that perhaps later on I should regulate my sugar intake and perhaps try this healthy stuff. Though I have tried some other sugar free drinks (colas) and I could feel that there is really a difference to ordinary drinks. Most likely the sugar free ice cream would be different from the regular ones. Well, there are things that we need to sacrifice for our health benefit rather than get all what we want and suffer later on.

I have never seen fat-free and sugar free Ice cream sold in my local grocery store. But I would be willing to try it if they did sell it there. I think that too much sugar in certain products is bad for your health. I have tried other things with low sugar or no sugar content and it tastes almost the same as the stuff with sugar in it.

i like the regular ice cream with fat and regular sugar!. i know its not healthy. but i dont find it challenging to eat the fat free one. ive been monitoring my weight everyday. tho i eat sweets and fatty food. thank God! it never changed my weight. must be because of our weather here. and i move a lot, so i sweat a lot.
