I have done many times and more so when I am travelling in a foreign country - something catching the eye and seems pleasing or eye-soothing and then while buying I chat up with the seller to find out more about it; it could be a simple hand-bag or wall hanging, - maybe that way I get to learn more about the local traditions, culture etc. And many times I have found certain items available only on those special days or seasons connected to a local traditional festival or so.
Similarly about food items- for example when I pass a bakery or food-store and there is a pleasing lingering aroma that is too much a temptation to resist and I normally go in and buy, mostly not to eat there alone but to eat at leisure and share with my family.
I have learnt a lot about about local cultures this way.

Hi,udayrao,I always buy things on an impulse.
It seems I 'm lacking of self control when shopping,so I like to shopping with my friends, they can restrict my crazy behavior."Do u really need this?"they often remind me when I want to buy something useless.Good luck and take care.

I think every girl love shopping, it's hard to say no to the new wonderful stuff, and I do always buy things on an impulse, if the price is available, and I really love that, then I will buy it, but I will also always regret about what I buy, I found I seldom use it, impulse do waste my money.

I constantly buy things on an impulse. I definitely do this while traveling. The reason for this is probably because when I am traveling, I figure... When am I going to be here again? I should get this thing before I leave because it will not only remind me of this place, but I don't know if it will be here in the future.

i do at times when i know i cannot get it from anywhere. in terms of traveling, definitely!! they are like momentos of your travels. you can never sure that you will come back in same places again so its nice to buy something to remember us by and as well as something you have learned like knowing cultures of the people and the place.

I guess I do this even though I don't have much money! I tend to buy very, very cheap things on ebay! I just like the whole process of shopping on ebay and I like the rating system as well! It's nice to buy things when you are abroad although I have not done anything like that for many years and again, it all relates to money and how much of the green stuff you actually have! I think I will stick to my ebay shopping experiences! Andrew

I do buy things on impulse, but I have buyers remorse as well! If the item is returnable, I often return it, or debate over returning it before eventually bringing it back. If the item is nonreturnable, I make sure to justify all its good parts to myself to feel better about impulse spending!

No not really, because usually when i go shopping, I have already set my mind on what I would buy. It is really weird because I am girl and usually girls are very fond of shopping. However, I usually buy food out of impulse because when I see something that looks really tasty, I usually buy it. But for me, I rather spend my money on food than clothing.

Yes, I am an impulsive buyer. Sometimes I regret the things that I buy because am overwhelmed with excitement whenever I see something that I like that I fail to canvass for better items. When I see something better, then I feel like kicking myself for not having been patient enough to look around first.

Nope, I'm not really an impulse buyer. But when I'm in another country as well or I'm visiting another town or region, I tend to buy immediately when I see a nice item. It's because of all the traveling and walking that takes time. It could be enjoyable, though tiring.

I used to go to the stores and I would see so many things that I would like to buy and sometimes I bought lots of things that were not necessary. Nowadays I am a little better, I can control myself buying only things that I really want. I had to start writing a list and buying only the things on the list and leave before the impulse of buying extra things set in.

If I find something that I really like and the price is affordable, yeah I will buy it on an impulse. But if it is something pricey, I'd wait a week or two, check my budget, then if it is still okay I'd buy it.
