A really nice topic for discussion

Yesterday, I was out with some friends and we haven't seen each other for while and we stayed more than 6 hours just talking and discussing. Believe, a lot of things could be discussed in six hours. And there was this one time when I though "wow, this is a really nice topic for discussion. I should start it in myLot so that I can see what do people think about it". The problem is that after I got home, I knew that I had something to write about but I didn't know what. I was at a loss. I know that I am absent-minded but I never thought that I will forget about something which I considered interesting. eventually there I was, sitting in front of my computer, scratching my head in bewilderment and wondering if I am loosing my mind a bit earlier than planned
So, to make this story into a discussion, i want to ask you if you ever had an interesting topic for myLot discussion in your head and when you are actually in myLot you just forget about it?

It depends on my mood, if I was in myLot in good condition and I can respond, to comment or give opinions about the discussion in question. Many things that came out of my memory so I could not find a good discussion, maybe wait a while so my memory recovery.

Well thats nice that you found the time to catch up with your friend and enjoyed the time as well. As the life goes we all are so busy with our routines that we are unable to take out the time to catch up with our old friends. That does not mean that we dont want but it all depends on priorities. Like remeber the time when we use to say "Let's meet and plan smoething" and now with our busy routines we say " Let,s plan and meed someday". Friends are same just priorities changes. As far as topic goes I usually put down whenever I have time or something good to discuss in mylot. It rarely happens that if I have thought of good topic and forgot about it. Well I hope you take out more time to meet your old friends and I am also doing the same thing. Enjoy.

Yes, I sure have, and I think since I am in my 60's, that I need to write it down before I post it, so that it stays fresh in my mind. It is hard enough to come up with a topic, and then lose the thought all together, and not remember what I was going to say. It is so frustrating, and I am certainly going to have to change that frustration into happiness, but writing my ideas down so I don't forget them, just in case I can't post the discussion immediately. I will live and learn one of these days. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

This used to happen to me all the time. However, I try not to let it happen anymore. If I think of something that would make for a great discussion here, I will typically excuse myself from whatever is going on for a moment and I will write down the basic information for the discussion that I would like to start. Then, when I am ready to start a discussion, I just have to look at my doodle paper and see what Ideas I've written down.

hi thewayitis oh yes indeed. I have thought of a great topic for a discussion at night and in the morning it just flew the
coop with all the other lost great discussions I guess. I am thinking of writing them down when I am not near my computer.
Maybe keep a notepad by our beds and another one on our person
so we can note the idea and then make a discussion later.

The forgetting part sometimes happen to me but not for myLot discussion. It usually happens when I'm enjoying a conversation with someone and I'm about to share an interesting story, another person suddenly interrupts to tell a story which I would listen of course out of respect. Since she interrupted me, I forgot what i wanted to share and even if I have searched all throughout my brain it just wouldn't come out... In the end I have just to give up and tell my friend that I will tell her as soon as I remember. Now, it still happens, but I would remember it if I could just remember a clue or my friends will tell me where I stopped so that I can continue.

Now THAT is happening to me all the time. What I hate most is to go somewhere and when I am there, I don't know what am I doing there. This happends mostly at work what makes it even more irritating. The other thing at work is that I want to tell someone to do something and then I forget. But this happens really rare, becuase I am most focused at work and I try to battle with my own absent-minded nature
