I do. I always feel that my birthday or my families birthday is incomplete without a birthday cake. We even buy birthday cake for my brother eventhough he's in Korea and we are here in the Philippines. Do you feel the same way too? I'm not saying buying an expensive cake to make birthdays complete is a necessity. For me I can buy a small one and enjoy it with family or friends.

No cake is fine as i dun really like cakes as they have this thing called cream on it. i dun really recall that i have much cakes for my birthday hahaha then i kinda forgets my own birthday lol. then there was once my girlfriend bought me a chocolate banana cake!! and i love it as its not so creamy. well it comes back to square, one cakes or no cakes doesn't really matters, celebrating any occasion is the thoughts that counts.

No, not really, our family celebrates usually with spaghetti, so a birthday celebration is not complete without spaghetti. Ice cream, we buy once in a while. Cakes, we can treat ourselves usually a slice during breaktime. But a birthday is not complete with us without spaghetti, especially when the one celebrating is a child. We have a superstition that noodles in the spaghetti will bring long life. So... spaghetti it is that is more important than a cake.

Yes I think that a birthday is incomplete without a cake. It is on your birthday that you have a chance to enjoy cake with your family and it has really been a tradition to have a cake on your birthday and without a cake it always feels that something is missing in your birthday celebrations.

Absolutly. You have to have birthday cake. I will agree to cup cakes, but even then. I don't care how old you get, you should always have birthday cake on your birthdaY.

When i was still young, i used to have birthday cake on my birthday. The last time i had a birthday cake was also the time my boyfriend proposed to me(now my husband. But now i seldom got a birthday cake. Despite of it, i dont feel incomplete because i find it more important if my loved ones are around on my birthday. Another thing is financial reason and im being practical so i'd rather buy something for my daughter (like milk) than buying a cake for myself.

Yes, definitely. Where would you put the candles without the cake? My best friend used to believe she didn't get older if she hadn't blown out the candles. But there are some people who think it's not so important to have a birthday cake and just cerish the beautiful moments with their friends.

Not really, no. Sure we do buy a cake whenever one of us becomes older but I feel like the most important part of all of that is to actually celebrate it with your friends and family. Not the cake or anything else you would prepare for that. But thats just me. Its not like I wouldn't want a cake or something else that tastes really good at my birthday.. :)

I do too. I always like to have a chocolate cake on my birthday. If I don't get one it isn't really that important but it is a nice thing to have on your birthday. You are right a small one to share is okay to have some for yourself and to share.

We always have a cake for birthdays - even if no one eats it. It is a symbol and everyone loves to sing over the candles.

I havent experienced celebrating my birthday with a cake since I was young. Maybe we are just poor enough to buy a cake which is expensive here. Now that i have a baby, I will make sure that when she celebrate her first birthday, she will have the cake that i wanted since i was young.

I believe it's kind of a tradition that we celebrate birthday with a cake. For me I think without a cake, the birthday would be meaningless. It symbolize sweetness of life, hope, something to enjoy and look forward to. It doesn't have to be a big cake, even one or two slices of my favourite cake would make me happy. Also we can only put the candles on cakes and not on any other food? That's another reason why birthdays come with cakes.

I also feel that a Birthday would be incomplete without a cake. I just couldnt see having a birthday without a cake being a birthday celebration at all. I guess our cultures are so used to having cakes around for birthdays that it is hard to think of a birthday without cake or something.

hi,i dont think Cake is really needed to celebrate anyones birthday. It can be celebrated without anything also.A small choclate also will be a great thing if any one really want the joy of the birthday.if we have everything and there is no cheer and joy in the birthday then it does not make any sense of celebrating a birthday

I don't think so. when I was a little girl, I always looking forwarding to my birthday, because I can eat delicious cake and get presents. But now ,I feel enough that I can be with my family and my friends for my birthday. The most important and happiest thing is to share happiness with your family or friends.Cake is just a plus.
