I know, it might be a strange question, but there are some odors that can really change your mood, bring up memories.
I like the summer smells, like smell of the fresh mowed hay or smell of the rain. I also like smell of orange. And a smell of the new books. A smell of paint or gasoline is nice too, but you should be cautions with these ones.
So, what smell(s) do you like at most?

Oh yeah, I know what you're talking about. That feeling when you're standing under the warm summer rain and just enjoy everything around you is splendid! Thanks for sharing!:)

i love, love LOVE the smell of rain. my husband actually finds it weird and amusing but rain actually cheers me up. I have allergic rhinitis so I cannot take strong smells, I even ask my husband to take his cologne spraying down a notch as it gives me headaches. rain cologne anyone? haha.

I feel sorry for your allergy, I do have one too, so I can't stand all that pollen in spring. I get runny nose and my eyes start to itch. And rain is good for me too, because it kicks all that pollen to the ground.
Thanks for sharing!;)

Rain cheers me up too! I guess it's supposed to have the opposite effect, but I just love it!

Not an odd question at all to me! I love fragrances and fruit smells. Love the scent of Oranges and Mangos and Watermelon and Cucumber. All time favorites are Lavender and Roses, any variety will do.
I never really thought about the smell of paint before but it is a good one since to me it means a fresh start!
I love to bake so Cinnamon Rolls from scratch, Cornbread and Chocolate chip cookies are big favorites of everyone in our house. And hubby loves the smell of steak and corn more than almost anything!
Quirky fun question!! Be Well!!

Smell of fresh fruit can turn you crazy if you're thirsty and don't have any water nearby...and then you feel that smell and imagine all these nice juicy fruits...damn!:D
I love these smells of food too. Cinnamon smells especially nice, it has a bloody good odor.

I also enjoy the smell of the rain. My favorite smell is here in the springtime when the windows are open, it smells just like a pine forest.

Ah, that smell of pine forest is a synonym of freshness! I think that such clear air, like you may find in a pine forest can only be found perhaps high in the mountains. Spring does have lot of nice smells to enjoy. Thanks for sharing!;)

I only have two favourite smells both of which fill me with childhood memories. The first one is the smell of freshly roasted coffee beans and reminds of the shop which used to be near my dads where they roasted beans daily. The second is the homely smell of freshly baked bread, it just makes me feel all warm and cosy especially on a cold day.

Pine smells good, I agree. Unfortunately you can't find too much smells outside there when it's winter time, so I bet lots of people are waiting for spring to come. Thanks for answering!:)

Wow, you've noticed so many good smells around you, I would never recall them all at once. I agree with you on every aspect you've mentioned. All these summer smells, tar and these food smells...oh yeah!
I also agree, that people who have been drinking smell awful after that. Smell of cooked cabbage is also bad, it is similar to smell of these...gases people sometimes emit:D
Thanks for answering!:)

the smell of flowers like roses and jasmines, the smell of mud when it rains are my favourite. But the smell of food kills me when i am hungry. the sweat smell or the body odour of my spouse really arouses me. At the same time the most must say odour is the smell of the hard earned money one earns after sweating a lot and feels the overwhelming happiness ever had before. That smell is everlasting.

Hi, Biomechanoid. No, I don't think that this is a strange question at all. I like the smell of freesia, vanilla, raspberry, rainshower, pink dove soap. My husband's Lever 2000 soap. I like the smell of Pantene Shampoo. Anything sweet and alluring, I love to smell it.

Sweet smells are nice too, but some people can't take them, if they're too intensive. My mother is very sensitive to such smells. But I like these ones too, there are many soaps and shampoos that smell just great!
Thanks for sharing!:)

I love the smell of a rain forest with very old trees, lichens, moss and humidity. To walk there, while you have your nostrils full of those smells is quite an experience. You have to walk carefully because everything is slippery, even the trunks of the centennial trees. Those trees were planted by mother nature, not by the hands of man.

Never been to rain forest, so thanks for adding a picture there. I would surely like to visit them in the future too. We have some ancient forests in our country too, but I live in a temperate climate zone, so there are different plants and trees, but I think the effect is as positive as in rain forest.
Thanks for a nice response!;)

I love the smell of oranges, and orange blossom. We live in Spain, among the orange groves, and the smells are wonderful when you walk past. I also love the smell of English roses. Unfortunately, the ones we get out here don't have that wonderful smell.

Oh, I wish I could visit your area in the future. I've never seen orange trees growing like that in groves. I've only seen a couple in a botanical garden. Hope I'll get to visit Spain some day!;)
I also like the smell of the roses, I had some growing in my garden, but I think they didn't have that real smell too.
