in the times today, everything is so fast paced and every body is rushing to do things, may it be going to work, being late for school, tending to the kids and family and all others. but have you just tried to stop and thank God for the many blessings that He has bestowed upon us.
today, and all the other days that He has given to me, i'm thankful that i woke up. i thank God that we do not have to pay for the air that we breathe, i'm a nurse and the oxygen in the hospital is charged per minute.. gosh, we really should be thankful! i praise the Lord for my family, for without them, i do not know where i will be... these are jsut a few things that i am thankful for..
what are you thankful for?

What a good question! I keep a gratitude journal, and it helps me be mindful that no matter how difficult a day may be, there is always something to be thankful for.
Some of the things I thank God for:
My family...I adore them
Friends and fellow human beings...most people are extraordinary
Learning new things
Nature and all the amazing power and beauty it holds
Food and shelter and enough to pay the bills
A comfortable bed for when I am tired
Good neighbors
All the ways He gives us to do good in the world
The smell of new babies, rain, and home-cooking
Mercy and grace

I am thankful for so many things in my life. I am thankful for my family and friends and I am thankful that I have a place to live, clothes and shoes to wear and food to eat. I am thankful that I have had the chance to go to school, and that I have learned to read and write, and that I have learned foreign languages and a lot of other things.
In this period of my life I am especially thankful, because within a few months, my husband and as well as my brother have been involved in car accidents, and in both cases nothing but the cars were damaged. In my brother's case the car has been badly damaged, and I am really, really thankful that nothing happened to my brother. I thank God for protecting my family.

Hi, I am thankful for another day, another challenge and Im thankful that everyone in my family are safe and sound. Today is Sunday in my place and I am going to go to church today to thank God for the many blessings that he gave me and my family. I am so happy right now and I feel so blessed so I want to be worthy of it so I pray that I will be better and be able to help others who needs help especially those within my family. I will never forget where I came from. I thank God for always being a part of my day! Thank you Lord!!!!

Hi greenishpurple,
Jeez, our way of thinking is similar, very much so! In my list of responsibilities, # 1 is: always remember to thank God for His unconditional and forgiving love; for all blessings, including trials that teach us lessons, give us courage to squarely face more trials and strengthen our will to do the best that we can for ourselves and for the people around us; for His protecting my family, friends and myself in giving us total safety and perfect health; for giving us a human body with the most highly developed intellect, for giving me friends and clients who appreciate and value the good in me despite my countless shortcomings.
To a lot of people of all kinds I have a lot to be thankful for. But to enumerate them all, it would make a kilometric list

God is so great. I have plenty of things to be thanking for. For His goodness and patience on me. I am not a good follower, i even neglected Him. And worst thing that i done is choosing world over Him. But still He never neglected me. I thank Him for His love and for not leaving my side...without Him i am nothing.

Hi greenishpurple.
Almost everything. At the top of the list is my salvation in Christ which I will celebrate the 40th anniversary of on Mon. Jan. 25. 2010. Family, good health, house, food, warmth, a bed.
I say almost everything because I still need to learn by obedience...

I'm honestly thankful for everything and anything... even the bad, as when I finally stop to try and understand my situation, and reflect on the days, weeks, or years that have past I find lessons learned, salvation found, blessings earned, mysterious workings, destiny manifested, and wouldn't be able to appreciate the quality things I have in life if it weren't for knowing what the opposite is like.
I've spent most of my life homeless, moving, or in transition from bad situations and struggling... finally getting my life back together, no longer homeless (was in a shelter for the last 5 months, til just a few weeks ago) - broke to the last penny to be in a place of my own, but I'm able to sleep in a nice bed, stay inside warm, watch TV, eat etc with the means I make ends meet with on my own terms.
I recently watched an ice storm crest off the ocean and slap me in the face with torrential fury and freeze, as I stepped out of the car I was living in at the time. Although I was destitute and cold, I saw beauty in the scene before me, and glory in the works nature. It inspires me to write, to testify, and live... and makes me feel free to see such awesome sights, and if I hadn't been in that situation at that time, I wouldn't have been there to see it at all.
Truly, I'm grateful for the gift of life, pleasure and pain, and our communal experience.

Hi everybody. I am always thankful to God that I am still alive each day I woke up. Though I am not rich I still thanks God for my health. I may not be as rich as other people but I am always happy and that is a big reason to be thankful. I am also thankful to God for my true friends who are always been there for me specially during times of trouble. I am also thankful to my parents who had raised me very well. Thank you to my hubby who always been there for me and who always understand me. Thank you to my work family. For being there for me in my toughest time. I think that would be all for now.

I am so thankful to God for his constant protection and provision. It's funny that you mention oxygen. In the last year my step dad and my mom have been put on oxygen. So I do thank God everday for my health.
