I;ve never been abroad. I like my country, because we have really beatiful nature here but sometimes when I see views from other countries in movies or photoes I feel like my heart stops beating. There are a lot of beautiful places in the world and I inted to visit some of them in the future. Which is the most beautiful country you've been to? What did you like there: the nature, the architecture or just the atmoshere?

Every country can boast of sites worth seeing but from the countries that I have visited and seen around (one cannot really cover everything) I was awe struck with Switzerland and New Zealand (South) both for different reasons. Switzerland for its well manicured roads which have borders that have flowers, miles and miles and meandering brooks with crystal clear water and the Jung frau alps was something so beautiful that I cannot describe. New Zealand for its Milford Sound, priaries along the roads again miles and miles with sheep grazing which from a distance look like tiny cotton balls. New Zealand has smoke coming from the ground at different locations making one curious as to what lies underneath.

Hi thewayis,
You responded to me on my discussion about quitting mylot, and so I thought I would respond to you here. I am still quitting, today's my last day here on mylot if not indefinitely then just a little while. But on to your discussion here, well I've never been to another country, though I too have seen beautiful scenery in movies or t.v. shows and thought it'd be nice to visit the countries, and their landmarks.
I hope you have a wonderful day!

I've not travelled to a lot of different countries during my life, I've been to Switzerland, France, Italy, Mexico, and I am a resident of the United States. Of all of these, I think that based on first impression only Switzerland is very beautiful. We only had the opportunity to spend a day there, but the mountains and the general atmosphere was beautiful. This is a place that I would really like to visit again at some point in my life. I also thought that Italy was beautiful as well because it is so diverse.

When I hear Switzerland, I have that image in my head of a beautiful road that is in the middle of a beautiful valey and cows all over. It is a bit chldish image, created by comercials on TV, but I just can't get it out of my head. When you went to Italy, did you go to Venice?

i love nature and it's beauty. i've never been abroad. but i know quite a lot about the world, places and people. every place is unique in its own way. the countries i want to visit most are norway, sweden, scotland, iceland, finland, new zealand, canada, greenland, denmark, alaska(of the USA), switzerland, nepal, bhutan,...for their natural beauty. many african country for their amazing animals. if it's for the architecture, monuments, engineering, scyscrapers, etc,...then it'll be a long list. but natural beauty is my priority and hence the first list is my priority.

austria, germany, italy, france all share the alpes mountain along with switzerland...so put them in the first list. may be i'm missing out on a few but these are all i can remember now. remember, every place on mother earth is important and unique in their own way. so it'll be best if i can go everywhere!

I have visited fifty different countries. The most beautiful country that I have ever been to is New Zealand. It has the most picturesque landscape that I have ever seen. I saw lovely beaches, stunning mountains, pretty forests, blue lakes and cool glaciers. Wow!
I saw some amazing looking views in Cape Town to the mountain and the beaches. I think Sydney Harbor is in the most beautiful looking city in the world. It is so beautiful and I loved taking photos of it. Much of Australia is really scenic.

You sure travel a lot. New Zealand, huh? If it really is as great as people say, it goes up in my to-visit list and takes the 3rd position there. Have you been in the western part of Australia? I am interested in it, becaue I've read that it is pretty wild compared to the eastern part, where are the biggest cities

For me Germany was the most beautiful place ever. The temperature there is so awesome you can sleep with the windows open at night, as most places don't have air conditioning. The food is sooooooo goooooood. It's one of my favorite types of food and to have authentic German cuisine is just too much. There are so many great castles and things to see. This is one country I would live in and would love to visit again.

I guess the climat in Germany is mild, but I don't think you can sleep with an open window in this season. It might be pleasant during the rest of the year but I am sure that in winter it is quite cold. At least that is what they say in the weather prognoses. I've never actually tried German cuisine - I have to check if there is a place here, where I can try it

I live so close to the mountains, less than an hours drive away. I don't know what country you live in, I live in Canada in Calgary, Alberta and I can see the mountains right from my house.
I love the mountains and I go to them at least every other weekend, for a drive. We go to Banff National Park, you may have heard of it, and just enjoy the outdoors. Sometimes we go hiking and other times just walking or driving through the park which takes about an hour going 60 KM an hour.
I tried several times to post a picture with this discussion but every time I try it kicks me out of mylot so I don't know why. I will have to get my daughter to look at that when she gets home from Winnipeg next week.
I have some really beautiful pictures of the mountains and I am sure if I posted some here and you could see them you would also love them. I feel very lucky to be living where I am.

Though there are many beautiful sites throughout the world, my own country, the United States, is the most beautiful because it has anything you could want.

I am originally from Scotland which is absolutely stunning in some places. I have travelled to quite a few exotic countries and enjoyed them all for being so different. Egypt was a favourite of mine but I am still quite happy to go home and see "bonnie Scotland"

i'd say, without batting an eyelash, the most beautiful country i have been is my country, the philippines. although i've been to only a few countries, some of which are really fully-developed with their urban centers very modern, i find more pleasure in the beauty of nature, of which my country is teeming with. imagine the more than 7,000 islands that comprise the archipelago. think about the long coastline, which is even longer than continental united states. also, the mountains and remaining forests, they are good places to climb and walk in. ah, the philippines remains on top of my list.

I went to India. It was very beautiful. They have fabulous tapestries, everyone dresses in these beautiful fabrics. I'm a people watcher and I loved, loved, loved watching thes beautiful, dark brown people. Everyone, women and men, moved with such grace. Indians don't come in ugly, I think.
