I love to write. I have been writing daily for years. I have found that writing my feelings and experiences down clears my head and is good for my soul. I find that I write as a form of communication better than I hold a conversation. When I am in the presence of a person I seem to get quiet and have nothing to say, yet when I am faced with a blank piece of paper I always seem to have something to write. Writing is more of a passion than anything else. I have to write everyday to feel complete. I am new to Mylot and I have hopes that writing on this site will be part of my life and fill some of my need to write.

Yes, I love to write! I enjoy putting down my thoughts on paper (or screen) rather than talking, quite honestly. I think that's why I do fairly well on myLot - hee hee! I used to write long letters to friends - and then eventually long emails to friends . . . so I can write about everything at anytime! I also like childrens literature - so I love writing for children.

hi stand87 writing is a passion with me as I have to write, its just something I must do. articles, shortstories, journaling, just writing to be writing, to express what I am feeling. to tell why am I here, why did all this happen, what now? its something that I do to put my feelings down on paper and wor k out what I feel and maybe make some sort of sense of my life. I am unpaid yet, unpublished but always a hope there.

Hello..
Well writing is the way people can express
themselves and how they are feeling.
I love writing! I love to write
poems and songs and short stories about different things
in life such as love and hate and how we should cherish everything in life.
Writing is the best way to get something off your chest
if your not the type of person to talk to somebody about a problem.
It can also be very creative like if somebody is very bored.
That's just my opinion:)

I enjoy writing. I used to write a couple of articles per day on various topics of interest. HOwever, since I started working, there was just so limited time for me to spend on this hobby of mine. I hope to be able to continue writing soon.
I also like to write reviews which can help me earn a little here and there. Now I have stopped writing for about a year and feel terrible about. I want to resume again. Maybe today would be a good day to start writing again.

Yes, I enjoy writing very much. I write articles right now just to keep my writing going. I hope to publish something at some point. I think writing is very important to get information out. I think that writing is a wonderful medium and I hope that technology doesn't ruin it.

I'm like you. I find I can express myself much better on paper than in a conversation. And I love to write and always wanted to be able to call myself a writer. After 60 or so years, I finally believe I can do so as I have many articles and stories published in print and on the web. Haven't yet achieved my novel though.

Writing is my passion! I use it to get my feelings down on paper so I can view them more clearly and see what is really going on deep inside. I use it for entertainment and for profit.
Nothing is so satisfying as having work published and having a publisher come back to you for more!
Writing is a constant learning process, urging you to look at the world around you with different eyes. It makes you observe your fellow man, his pets, his loves and hates, his business or lack of, his movements, the tiniest flaw or the amazing perfection of his skin. It draws you into a microscopic world of details to enhance your articles or stories.
My preference is the short story or novel and I write about in several genres, each fascinating in its own way.
Writing is the breath I breathe, the core of my heart and the joy of my life outside my family. It gives me access to people like you, who share an equal passion for something too many dismiss.
I listen to people saying 'he or she only wrote a book,' and know they have not a clue how difficult writing a book, or even a short story worth publishing, is and that it can take years to perfect. Yet, authors give that time to their work because they want something of substance left behind long after they are gone from this world.

I love to write! Even when I was in school, I never took any of the literature classes, I took the writing classes. I've always been somewhat shy. I find writing stuff is much easier than talking. Somewhere between my brain and my mouth, I lose things. It sounds wonderful in my brain, but it doesn't come out of my mouth that way. LOL!
I haven't made any money to speak of with my writing yet, but, because I do enjoy it so, I'm a member of Squidoo.com, Helium.com, and I have a blog on wordpress.

I love writing. It was in childhood when I put sown for the first time my thoughts and ideas in the form of a journal and poetry writing. I love to write letters as my thoughts are better expressed in writing than talking. I'm writing articles now because I want to help others and improve my English. I intend to write some literature in English. Writing is also a kind of psychological therapy: it helps to discharge the heart.

Well I love writing very much since my childhood. From the beginning I used to write some poems just for amusement. While writing one can get a lot of time to think. So I can write and express my feeling very accurately. According to me this hobby of my writing has perhaps brought me here on mylot. And I am enjoying here a lot. And in addition to this if someone gives you money for writing then I will always be ready with mu hand up.

I would rather write than read. Reading doesn't keep my interest for very long, but I love to write! When I start writing, it just seems like something just takes over and the subject matter at hand that I am writing about seems to take on a whole new meaning! That is, once I get started. I guess that would be the hardest part. But once I take off, my thoughts just seem to snowball...

Hi stand :D
Yes I love to write.. and I keep this hobby through blogging. That's why I've had a number of blogs in the past. I have one now, (you can check my profile if you want)..
I started this interest when I first joined the school publication in college.. I became a staff writer/ journalist in which I cover mostly school activities and we publish it in our newsletter. We also write literary articles in our lit folio and was always invited by other writing groups to join national writing contests.. (I haven't won in a writing contest yet, but I'm willing to try my luck again, lol)
I just love to write because it makes me feel better. I believe writing is part of my life. =) Just like you, I can better express myself through writing than talking.. =) but sometimes as often most of us, I do experience writer's block and can't think clearly of what to write about.. During my school publication years most of the time we were trained to "write under pressure", on a due date which I believe developed my writing skills a lot.
However these days I find it quite boring to just write and say whatever things that popped into mind.. I believe there's a huge difference between "wanting to become a writer" or "wanting to write" because when you wanna write means you have something to say, while "wanting to become a writer" means you write for writing's sake... :)
Just an opinion. God bless :D

Yes, I do love writing. For one reason or another, when I was about 12 years old, I felt like writing a story, which I did, and I really liked writing that story. Ever since that point, I've written stories and such. I find that by writing, it gives me some relief. For me, it's a form of therapy, which is probably why I've been writing stories and such for so long. It's my way of expressing myself.

Hi Stand87,
I like wirting, and sometimes i think wirting makes the work even more romatic and beautiful. Because we talk all the time, but those who can sit down, clam himself/herself down and have very nice mood to write something, can't be bad. I like the guy who likes writing!
Thanks for reading and responding my discussions!

Hi Stand87, I love to write. It gives me clarity of thought and feelings. I think when someone reads what I have written and enjoys it then I feel a sense of accomplishment. Writing has always been easier than talking to me. When I write, the thoughts flow easier but I can always readjust what has been written if necessary. Whereas talking, once it is out and it is too late to take back. I feel calmer and more able to convey my impressions or my point when writing. When I'm talking, sometimes I get tongue-tied or the point I am trying to make doesn't come across well. I like the creativity it provides and also when I go back and read what I have written I like that it is creative and that its mine.
