So what is real music to you all? I personally have to always go with someone who has talent playing their heart out to an instrument. Nowadays people use computers to make music. Let me know what you think.

Both kinds of music are real as far as I'm concerned. As long as a human being had a hand in creating it, it's real music. Who are we to go around saying, "you're a real musician because you play an instrument, and you're not because you use electronic means?" That sounds kind of stuck up to me.

Nowadays, computer do all the things! I have a music teacher who don't really know how to read sheet musics, however, he composed so many great instrumentals. I felt deceived when I knew that he used the computer to program it. However, it's a new technology and it's a big help in our industry nowadays. I like to listen to pop music with a lot of computer effect, and I will like it even more if the singer are always able to perform it live and in acoustic version. That shows that even though computerized, the music is still have it's originality of composition.

welcome to the wonderful world of mylot anthony. the choices you gave for me are both real music. in the computer world there are people who uses computer to pour their heart and soul and their passion with music. i am a musician and i play the bass guitar in a band. my father composes songs and music using the computer but when computer was not yet around he uses the piano. now he still makes music using the computer and his high tech keyboard but still that is his talent playing his heart out with the love and passion with music. my dad knows how to play a lot of different instruments and he loves music very much

Well, you see the music is the biorhythm of the universe - the heart of the universe. So, the biological (as if the biorhythm) music is the real music not the one made by computers. The reason is simple we cannot create heart beat by machines, but we can hear and feel it. Have we seen birds and the animals chirping and singing naturally without using computers? If we have heard them, we know the answer, is not it. Thanks for raising such a brilliant question that needs attention from all of us for our better present and future. Music the cosmic heartbeat is hidden in your question!

My husband has been trying for so long to get a music system that allows you to adjust your preferences - for e.g the bass, etc. However with the current music systems you don't get that option.
Personally I love a live band or music recital.

My personal opinion;
I've always been a rap/hip hop lover, and always listened to those brilliant computerised sounds but now, I'm more of a rock fan, and just love the sound of electric guitars; especially in the morning. So my conclusion to this is, they both are brilliant, if used in the right type of music.

For me, music is something that is pleasing to the ears, so pleasing it goes right into your heart...So whether it's from a musical instrument, generated by a computer...i would still consider it as such. I guess, like saying it's in the ear of the listener. :)
