can we be affected by spells or magic ??

my friends mother has been really sick for the past whole year .. on and off she will rant at nights, talking in weird languages .. he has done many things to help her, hospitals have given up on as all the medical test proves that she is in good health
so he started to check on other affecting factors, maybe she was possessed or something .. he is muslim so she was met with "muslim priests" and no changes. After that he met up with a few so called "magician" for assistance.
Finally last month one of the magician, dug out somethings from the compound of the mothers house claiming that the mother was under some influence of bad spells .. now the mother is well ..
what do you think about this .. was the woman under the influence of spell or she was simply insane ??
Me .. yes i believe i it, always pray to god to keep me away from being with this type of people

if course I belive that they can have an effect, or I wouldn't bother with them.
long term possession, I don't believe in. I do believe in channelling. where someone can let someone else in for a short time. but ongoing possession, no.
I have seen people affected by Magic, and helped them, and I've used Magic myself.
if I didn't believe it worked I wouldn't feel I had the right to call myself a Witch.

in the tradition I was raised in, there is no return on works done for harm, so long as you do it right.
this isn't to say we are immoral. just that we believe that the only one that will judge our actions is ourselves. so we have to live our lives not comprimising what we believe to be right.
so I have used magic against others. but those situations were extreme, and I feel perfectly comfortable with the actions I took in the face of those situations.
you'd have to do something very bad to me or someone I loved for me to use magic against you. in which case it would be deserved, and I'd feel no shame in my actions.
you say in an earlier post you need help or advice to counteract the situation. if you'd like my advice, tell me more of the case, and I'll give what help I can in advising you how to protect and counteract.

It's possible, however only if you believe in it. If you don't believe in the powers of magic, it really doesn't have any effect on a person. I believe in it, so therefore I am cautious of what I say and do because I know it can come back to me three fold.

I have seen the effects on people that don't believe.
on the one hand, you can tell someone you're doing it, and they'll do the rest themselves. the mind is a powerful thing.
but on the other, as a practitioner myself, I've had someone try and mess with me, and just realising that they were the cause was enough to diffuse their efforts.

I have read of these things happening!.
and if htier belif is that they have something bad happen like this that could be the answer.
Sounds weird but yes it can happen and if a person beleives they have had someone put a spell on them its hard to find the thing that is doing it and cast it out . So glad they found what ever it was and that she is better!

I saw something like this darn it was Truma od Mercy and the women just kept screaming and tell kill me killme to the Doctors they finally figured it out that she had a curse on her and they got a nurse from the womans country to do a removal thing1

I personally don't subscribe to all this magic and voodoo stuff,
I have been cursed or so called cursed by loads of gypsy's in my lifetime for not buying things off them.
Do I look like the bank of ben lol,
and I have never had any back luck my kids are fine I run my own business etc etc, though I do think that if someone believes in magic and something back will happen to them then its a self fulfilling prophecy
same as if your poorly and you believe you will get better chances are you will, but if you don't think you will get better you usually don't.
Nothing to do with magic it's more to do with your own brain and how confident you are in life.

I think we can be affected by spells and magic. But I also think we can overpower these things. I believe humans have enough capabilities to do the most miraculous things once we find out how to reach it. I know people that do black magic and spells and they always told me that it would come back on them. They always told me negative outcomes of what had happened to them as well as the person they put the spell on. This is not something you should mess around with.

Magic spells, voodoo or occultism are popular practice here in my place. If someone is sick and no medical doctors could diagnose the sickness the services of the supernatural forces are sought. I don't know whether they are coincidence but they find they are well and fully cured after the visit to these black magicians. They can even cast love charm to make a person fall head to heal in love with a person even if in the early stages there were no such love feelings.

Well, i could say that i respect all cultures and beliefs. Even in my place the rural folklore belief on it and it been pass on them by their ancient ancestors as long as it do good. then, so on i have no contradiction as long as the results is good then..
