I don't think that's true. I think that mylot is just a place where everyone can come and chill. You can't really live off of what you earn here. There are a lot of people who have jobs and go to school. So no I don't think that people here are jobless.

i disagree with that statement. I have what could be considered a well paying job and I do mylot for a little extra money in my savings. It cant pay my bills or feed my family, but it adds a little to our savings each month.

Nah, I would not say that. I'd say that a fair number of mylotters are retirees, and the rest are people who are bored at work, and some are home makers, who are not jobless in that sense since taking care of young children is a full time job alright!
I think there are many employed mylotters who mylot at night, or in their spare time too!

Of course not. Except maybe for myself, I'm jobless for the moment but when I had still a job I still do mylot. I was assigned sometime in a remote area where there was no internet and when I come to the city I do mylot to break the ice, ease some stress and most of all it keeps me sane.
And mylot earnings are not going to feed one person either even for a day. I have been here for over a year but I did not get to use my earnings. It just piled up. So, most people here are with jobs so they can pay the internet bills for doing mylot more.

hi rosey!
For me, mylot is a great tool for some home-makers to earn bucks which can help their family even on a little way. I don't find any basis on that statement..hihi..."mylotters are jobless people".. Some people here have an offline job or regular job. I'm working 8 hours or more in a day and I do some online activities as well, one of which is myLot which is by the way my favorite of them all. hihi! So, I really don't agree on that really.

Absolutely not! I work, I'm finishing a master's degree, and I'm a freelance writer. I use mylot as a way to voice an opinion. It also has a seductive, escapist kind of quality. I can shake off the day, and still be more productive than if I just parked myself in front of the t.v. & vegged out. I also find it a kind of exercise. If I get hung up on an article, I can log on and write freely. It's a fantastic way to get warmed up, or fight writer's block by getting the ol' synapses firing. People underestimate the creativity that can go into some of these postings. Besides, you never know who you're talking to on the internet. Anonymity is a powerful ally. For all people know here...I could be a best selling novelist. I write with people everyday that are engineers, going to medical school, or otherwise involved in successful careers. I guess I just find it difficult to stereotype an obviously eclectic group of people on any social network. Happy Posting:)
