Have you ever faked being sick?

When I was a child I would wake up sleepy some days and fake a belly ache or something of that sort to get a day off, as a teenager I did it to avoid social scenerios, tests or just to be a brat, but now as an adult I still find myself occasionally calling into work just because I need a break! Maybe my life long habit has become a normal practice. Have you ever played off being sick to avoid going somewhere?

I think I've done it once or twice. I was pretending that I have a serious headache in order to leave the lessons. I think I got caught once on such attempt. I went home and started to video games, but then my mother returned home and it was hard to explain, why am I not at school.

Yes I have faked a lot many times that I am sick. Well I feel that most of us had done this. Starting from the school to college and then at the work place I feel that everyone must have done that to get leave. For some faking sick is something like the must have thing. And it is like something without which I could have never imagined my school and college career. Well it was my school days when I have made the most use of faking being sick. I know that what I used to do was wrong but still then that was something unavoidable.

I am actually laughing while commenting to this discussion because I am actually doing the same thing. When I was a kid, I usually try to act as if I am not feeling well whenever I am asked to buy something. Such laziness of mine gave me excuses of not going out from the house especially if it is raining.
Time has passed and now I am already a professional person facing the real world. Now at work, since we are given the privileged of having sick leaves, so what I do is that I try to faked my sickness in order to use my sick leave credits. In that way, I can rest at home and still received salary for the day!

To be honest I get sick often and fortunately theyre eligible enough to be considered sickness so I could get the chance to avoid going somewhere like university and social moments. It actually made me a college dropout and freed me from school work. Now I have more freedom though I would still do my best in college if I ever was in optimum health. The unusual stuff is that, people call me healthy even though I'm totally not and scold me now and then whether my parents, teachers, or my 86 year old grandaunt.
