Java Update / myLot

I am trying to install an update for Java. I keep getting an error message saying Failure to download required installation files. Does anyone know why or what needs to be done to install? Thanks in advance

here is what u have to do. go to Remove ''programs'' and then u uninstall java. After that u download java and then it is updated

check your antivirus. add the java update applet to your antivirus and forewalls whitelist. disbale your anti virus temporarily and try again download the offline setup of java and install it or/ install java through mozilla firefox or any other browser as a plugin.
