CURLY hair or STRAIGHT hair?

I've always envy those girls who have curly hair. They really look pretty with it. I have a straight hair but I find it ordinary sometimes. One advantage about being curly is that you don't have to brush your hair. After taking a shower, you just let it dry without putting so much effort on grooming it. How about you?

Hi, I have long straight hair and I like it. I don't like curly hair. In fact, that now 'beauty salons', even offer smoothing (to straight the hair). And I don't need to pay them again, because my hair is already straight. However, curly hair is also beautiful. It is depend on our taste. Have a nice day.
Best wishes,

hahaha! i love this topic! :) my hair before was wavy so i decided to rebond it. now, i have a straight hair. i also have this issue that i want to have a curly hair. i am really confused what to do with my hair. sometimes I want it straight, sometimes I want it curly! hahaha. I don't know what to do now. If only I can do both on my hair - half curly, half straight BUT i can't! HAHAHA... It will just make me look freaky! hehehe :D

I go for straight hair. Way back then I have wavy hair, I made it straight by rebonding... and it looks good on me. But I get bored to straight hair, so I tried to make it curly, at first its really good and people envied you for having that beautiful curly hair. After few months, I get tired to curly hair... for a lot of reasons that curly hair really needs a lot of effort and care to maintain its beautiful curl. So I shift again to a straight hair. So now, I am very much happy with my straight hair again...

I too, and jealous of girls with curly hair. I look so cute when I curl my hair, and I wish it came naturally. But then again, curly hair seems like a lot of work. I like to be able to just blow dry my hair and be done with it. It makes getting ready for 8am class that much easier.

Never mind curly or straight, I'd be happy with just hair! I'm a senior male, bald since 40. However there is a bright side to this story. Soon after my hair disappeared, I became sick of paying full price for a 3 minute cut around my ears, so I purchased a set of electric hair clippers. In no time short I was doing a very professional job on my own head, and over 30 years, this pair of clippers has saved me $4000.00!

I love straight hair. For some reason curly hair for me is a hairstyle I won't be able to afford since you have to make sure it does not tangle too much or you'll be in deep trouble. My friend used to have curl hair and she had to grow her hair to cut it off and have nicer hair.

~ Hi! I have never liked girls with curly hair, I mean really curly not like the girl from the photo, her hair is lovely. But I more like girls with straight hair, especially straight black hair!

I've got straight hair but years ago perms were all the rage and I just loved my friend's naturally, curly hair and wanted mine to be like hers. Ironically, I saw her in a supermarket recently (not seen her for years) and it looks like she's been STRAIGHTENING IT! This I can't understand as her curly hair is definitely her best feature. However, when I had the perms it did make me look older so perhaps she's trying to reverse the trend lol.By the way, I do possess hair straighteners and have only used them twice. Can't be bothered! As for leaving curly hair to dry...that's fine if it's shoulder length or shorter, but I used to leave longer, curly hair to dry without combing it and it drove my Mum nuts because she was convinced I was doing it more harm than good. It did get a bit...er...frizzy!

hi gamba
we're opposite..
Me, I've always envy those girls with straight long hair. My hair is natural wavy and I hate it, when I was still studying I always go to the salon and have it relax, to maintain it straight, but when I got married my hair was damaged a lot, and become really thin., so now I'm thinking of going to salon and make my hair curl this time, for a change.. and for it to look thicker. you're really right I put so much effort with my hair.If I have to go somewhere I need to blow it dry and use flat Iron after drying it. Unlike curly hair after bathing you can immediately go with out using dryer and flat Iron. what do you think?

I love curly and straight hair, but I think that depends of which one looks better, I have naturally straight hair, but I also love the curly, but I think straight hair looks better on me. I do have seen gorgeous girls with curls, and the curls looks really really nice.

Well, you know ...a little extra "advantages" doesn't always mean a better "look" :D .
For me, I simply adore the girls with straight hair .
I don't know, for me , straight hair .. it looks so smooth , perfect ...and when you touch it is so soft, I adore that, heh .
But after all, you have to be the one that feels good with, that's the only thing that matter..isn't it ?

I usually just let it dry out since I work at home. If I am going out to go shopping I will style it and blow dry it. I also use a flat iron because my hair is straight and it really helps bring the smoothness out. I also use a little product in it to make it look nice.

I'm in between (well, closer to straight hair). My hair is on the wavy side - not completely straight. It's hard because sometimes it can be frizzy - like after a foggy, damp morning . . . other times you feel lucky because it has volumn and body to it. If I had short hair, I wouldn't have to put much effort into grooming it (if it's the right cut), but having longer hair, it is sort of a pain!

Well, my hair isn't straight neither curly, it's wavy! That's probably the worst kind of hair you can get, as it's really difficult to get any shape of it -no nice waves, just a shapeless bunch-.
That's why I never let it stay wavy like that

Hi gambamarcela!
My hair is long and curly and to be honest, I don't like it. I'd love to have a long straight hair and that is the reason I spend money to have it rebonded. I used to have a long straight hair when I was in highschool. Then, all of a sudden it became curly. I don't know how and why. I mean, I can't remember going to the saloon to have a curly hair. I just noticed that slowly my hair is becoming curly. Howevever, in our family no one has a straight hair . Everyone even the boys have curly hair. My mother and father both have curly hairs.

I have curly hair, and i love it... but still, u have to brush your hair otherwise it will look like u haven't touch it for a year.. it needs special treatment too, so it won't look so frizz..
