The iPad's out...

I would have thought that the marketing team at Apple would have put a bit more thought into the marketing and naming of this product. This product is apparently aimed at teenagers and tweenies, (and of course the fan boys of Apple) judging by the look of the product. * What a teen would view on the iPad... * http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2010/01/27/article-1246551-080C52F0000005DC-817_306x423.jpg * The iPad, front, back, and side views. * http://ttl30d.images.infospace.com.edgesuite.net/search/images/201001/ipad.jpg * The iPad has problems with the Teen and Tweenie market. First, the name. iPad sounds like a feminine hygiene product. No Teen or Tweenie, especially a twelve year old boy, would be caught dead with something that sounds like it belongs in a tampax box! * Here's the rest of the Daily Mail's take on the iPad, aimed mostly at grown ups. * http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-1246801/Apple-iPad-met-derision-laughter-web-users.html

Even I heard about IPAD.Apple is trying everything to get their revenues to keep going. It has enhanced features like games, videos, images and the most important e-books. I am planning to buy one. It would be a good idea seems to me.

It is a pretty product. Just too pricey and locked down for my cuppa tea.

I like the design of the Ipad, the fact that it only weighs 1 pound and its only 9 by 7 inches long is what worries me. I am afraid I might drop it, and then I saw online that they are selling it for 500$ I still can't believe that

It's designed to be an ultra-portable. An ultra-portable what I've not gathered as yet. I've not seen much use personally for something so locked down, but then I do not travel AT ALL nor do I have that kind of spending money on hand, even for buying apps and online movies or music. I mostly listen to online radio.

HAHA I love that. It DOES sound like a feminine hygiene thing, doesn't it? . I actually don't like the idea of it at all, for once, because Apple's creations usually amaze the life out of me. But no, I think it's a bit over the top.

The offcolor jokes are flying. What I dispise is that it is so locked down. It has no way to get anything in it. It has no ports. if you want a keyboard, you have to pay between $70 and $80 dollars for a specialty keyboard from an Apple store. You want apps, music, or movies, you have to go online to the apple store and buy them, you can't just move them from your PC if you've already got them. The reverse is true too. It's a rich person's toy.
