How much cash do your put in your purse for daily use?

Hmmm, let me see, i will carry about 100 with me, because i only need to buy a breafast, a lunch, then go home to have dinner, maybe buy some fruit on my way home, but that won't cost me much. And most importantly, it's not safe to put too much cash in a purse. Best wishes to China!

I usually carry 10 or 20 euros in my wallet, because I have a credit card and I can pay anything with it, and it's also safer. I don't buy at stores that accept only cash, because there are only a few. I don't have to pay the bus because I have the monthly ticket and I can always pay things with a card or my cell phone. It's always good to have some spare change though.

I usually just have enough to pay for my fare to work and back. Sometimes I bring a little extra just in case, but the cash usually never exceeds 10usd (conversion from my currency). A really bad experience prompted me not to carry much cash. I always have my debit and credit cards with me though, although I NEVER keep them in my wallet anymore. They are in a separate case in my bag or jean pocket.

I usually have about $200 with me all the time. I don't carry it for daily use, but as a comfort zone. I use debit card for most purchases. Somehow just knowing if there is a small emergency I have the cash to survive seems like the right thing to do.

Nice question!!! I hardly count the cash in my purse, but I make sure the need of money is in the purse. I have heard that if you count cash it will reduce so I hardly do ( My bad habit :) )

I usually carry enough cash to catch a bus or a cab home from wherever I wind up. I don't drive so I am normally at someone else's mercy as far as transportation is concerned. Getting home is my main concern when I am out for the day. Besides transportation money I usually bring some money for a cup of coffee and a snack. I usually eat my meals at home. I do love to drink coffee out, though. If I plan to stop by the grocery for a quick stop when I am out, I usually bring an additional $10 - just enough for some milk and bread. I never carry that much cash on me.

Why don't carry maybe half of that and use your debit card in case you need more? A hundred dollars is a lot to carry in your purse I think.

I generally don't have cash.. If I have it I spend it.. So I use a debit card when I really have to buy something.

I carry all the cash I have with me because I just don't know when I want to eat or buy something. Anyway, I do not usually have big cash, so it's all right.
