If they choose to be friends, they can remain just friends. But like the previous post said, as soon as one wants something more, there are going to be problems.

yes obviously! why not? they can be just friends... but not all can be so sincere.. only few... and therefore society wouldnt believe that any guy and gal are just friends, even though they are infact.....

I believe that they can...only because one of my good friends is a guy. We were so close back in school for 2 years, then when I moved we dated for a little while and then we just lost contact. Finally about 6 months ago I found him and it doesn't even feel like 10 years have past!!

Yes, a guy and girl can just be friends if their friendship platonic in nature.

Of course they can! Yes, it is hard to be "just friends" with someone you are physically attracted to, but not all of one's friends are going to be romantic interests. Case in point, my best friend is male, I am not the least bit attracted to him, and we've been friends for several years.

I think that it is possible..altho it may be a bit hard. As long as it is wanted by both parties than it might just work. I also believe that if you spend enough time with someone of the opposite gender (same gender for some) then there is that chance of developing feelings..ssooo.. Who doesn't want a partner that is loving, caring, trustworthy,fun..ect...all the things that you are attracted to in a good friend...right?
