Very likely, especially so on the internet. Even the ones among us that realise how foolish it is cannot avoid having their attention drawn by pictures. It is all too easy to end up paying greater attention by responing to their posts because these are the posts that we have noticed. I would like to think that I am immune to this type of cosmetic furnishing, but I am probably not.

Its a ploy to get the most reponses and it does work it looks like. I'm not surprised by any means. I love Asylums pic! LOL!;) Human nature is such a trip.

I believe that the avatar that a person has, whether it is of a beautiful woman or something else that attracts the eyes, does affect how many responses a discussion gets. I changed mine yesterday and there is a big difference already.

I feel yes...as far as i have seen people with beautiful avatars esp with those of gals get more response than those with a good topic!! Many people play a money game rather than sharing their good knowledge!! The very purpose of the community is never followed...I guess mylot should take strict actions and give norms abt answering and starting discussions!!

Personally I only respond to questions that make sense to me. The content of the question and my understanding of the topic is more important than the avatar accompanying it.

I am more attractive to the content of the topic rather than the avatar. I believe in the sayings," Don't judge the book by it's cover".

contents are most important than the containers. Possibilities are there, but I do not have time to go and check, think about such things. I have enlisted you as my friend and I expect you to to respond one of my discussions everyday as I have done for yours.

I wouldn't say that is right because in here there are both women and men. I would say it depends on the quality of question, the number of people that are in and the mood everyone is into.

i dont realise that...i always look for the subject rather than avatar (unless it's my friends' avatars). i wont specifically respond to those with beautiful women or handsome men

if you are dumb enough to think they are the same attractive girls typing out all responses -if they are attractive what are they doing sitting alone with computer and I doubt if they are all girls too. For me discussion topics matter. No use wasting time on stupid topics as once mylot wipes them away you also lose your earnings.

i think they probably do for many reasons, one being that with a picture of a pretty girl women will aslo take a closer look whereas i dont think men would tend as much to even notice the pictures of hot guys and take a second look. its funny that when i take a closer look at someones profile thats posting a picture thats of someone famous or a model these are the people asking the yes or no and repeat questions in general i think they just dont care about getting to know people or being truthful but just here to make money, as all observations of this kind im not saying that this is the case for everyone who does this but a trend that i have noticed(i am not talking about someone putting a beautiful picture of themself or a loved one)

i saw that a somebody had a beautiful women in the avatar... and at a discussion with this subject: Am I ugly" got about 130 answers...... so my answer to your question is yes, the avatar influences responders.... to bad... they shouldn't do this....

Most probably because that's what the world we live in is like. As for my avatar it's a pretty but gothic doll. I like it but what others would class it is I don't know.

lol! i don't know about the others, but my avatar is beautyful fairy and still i don't have much responses? but i addicted to not answer human picture ? i prefer sign (like you) flower, animals, cartoon..funny!

That's a good one! Yea, I have been wondering why my friedn on mylot was going about with an avatar of a 'beautiful woman'As you said, a picture of a beautiful woman is alluring! At first I suspected that he was effiminate. Now I realize that he has good insight!

It makes no difference to me,I choose by the question.I can see how some of the younger guys might fall for it though.

I thnk somewhat they do. But more to men than to women. It's just natural, as men are visual, and like looking at pretty women.

I think they probably do get more responses because their avatar is very eye catching. I reply to a discussion because of the members topic not their avatar.

I dont think response depends on beautiful avtar.It only depends on quality of posting.I can frankly say that you like some guys had posted here some beautiful topics and I know this will continue.Its writing skill i always talking about it.

nOOOO waaayyy!! .... i just answer the once with beautiful MEN on it.....lol!!! wahahah naa....just kiding!! i dont go for the picz....i go for the topic...if i finf the topic interesting i answer....wats the use of answer some pretty ladyz (who has probably posted the pic of her friend or some actress!!) if i dont knw what she is talkng abt??!!! moreover i first post for my friends...only then i answer the others ...and taht too if im not tired yet!! ^_^
