Many student now can't concentrate at home studying because of the gadgets the temptation to use the gadgets at home namely the television, computer and cellphones. I'm one of the victims of these such addiction of using these gadgets. I'm like online for 18hrs everyday if its weekends and weekdays about 12hrs this is accompanied with television. Anyways this will greatly affect education today. I wonder online education does it really make students proficient? What do you think?

I certainly cant concentrate on studying at home because of all the distractions around that hinder me from studying. There is the computer, the television, the bed which temps you to sleep hehe and my load mouth sister. I can't stand studying at home maybe that's why I failed my exam. hehe I rather go out and go to my school and study there for the time being. whahah

You don't have to include your sister Nat. Lol yeah the environment in our house too is not conducive for learning. To many tempting games to be played. ^^

Serious motivation and self-discipline might be the key to concentrate when studying at home. Sleep where everyone in the house is still awake, wake yourself up if everyone is already sleeping. That is the time you are going to focus on your studies. We can focus our studies without noises or irritating sounds right? Find time where noises were not busy.

I finished my studies last year, and I can say that I used to be destracted by all these gadgets while studying as well. On the other hand, I'm happy I had enough strenght to switch everything off and spend some time with the books, when it was really important to do that :)

That is good for you. I can even turn off this computer and can't live without going online in the internet or even play a game. Just 2 more months to go ^^

It's quite hard for me to focus on studying at home. When I was a student, I prefer to study in my room but I could still hear the TV from the next room, I get tempted to curl up in bed, and all the madness at home just keeps running in my head. There are so many issues that keep me from attaining that discipline. So sometimes, I'd spend a whole day in the library just to get some peace and an atmosphere for learning.

There is no difference if you are addicted to gadgets, TV, computer, etc. The only thing is you know how to discipline yourself in terms of studying. Most of the items that was identified are educational. The usage of these things are essential to learning.

The key to studying at home is self discipline. I took internet college classes and set aside time just as if I was going to the classes at a different location. You need to look upon it as your job and set aside a block of time where nothing else is allowed to interfere. Turn off the phones, the television and everything else and get to work! I have much the same situation with my writing. I make a little money this way and I've blocked out several hours per day for it. No games allowed except during lunch, these hours are treated just as if I was working outside my house for someone else. You can avoid distractions if you discipline yourself and keep your eyes on your goals.
