Hi, I was planning to get a camera. The ones that looks more professional with more pixels not the everyday camera. I was wondering on which camera I should get. I am a novice at photography and I just like doing it for fun. So if there are any cheap but worthwhile camera I can get then please post it as a comment below.

If it's just for fun, a DSLR is probably a lot of money to spend, but a good mid-range camera from Panasonic or Canon is going to set you back about $US400 about 1/3 of the cost of an entry level SLR.
Look for a long optical zoom and manual controls.

Oh really? It does include the lens right? And I want to do it for fun, but in like a more professional way. So I want to be good at it but not major in it or whatever. :D Thanks I'll look up those brands though.

If you want better than a point and shoot, the cameras I have in mind have manual control in addition to automatic. You can vary the power of the flash, vary focus and exposure and apply more creative controls. They have lenses with optical zoom in the range 7x up to about 12x in compact bodies. The next stage up are the "superzoom" and "bridge" cameras. These look like small SLRs but do not have interchangeable lenses and they are built around the same small sensor as a more typical compact camera. As well as view screen, they have electronic viewfinders, which make them suitable for sports, nature and action photography, and their lenses stretch out to real telephoto lengths: 20x and even 25x optical is common.
Olympus make several, but I do not like the image quality, Canon is better, but Panasonic's FZ series may be the best in this class. Prices start high $300s and go up to about $1000.

You should start changing the type of your camera from the pocket camera to Digital SLR. I don't know what kind of Digital SLR would be the best for the beginner, but all photographers I know use DSLR to take picture. You could browse in some forums for photographing, or you can try finding reviews of those DSLR. You can start your browsing from Canon EOS 40D.

Thank you and if you can remember what camera you used as a beginner, and review it for me, I would greatly appreciate it.
