Are you sleepy? Are you awake? Are you both?

Sunday and Monday I got one hour of sleep total. Tuesday and today (Wednesday) all I want to do is sleep. I am fighting to keep myself awake. I figured Monday I'd definitely sleep that day and night after having been sedated during the neck procedure I had at the surgical hospital that Monday morning. But I wasn't. Now I just want sleep, sleep, and more sleep.
Anybody else have days like that? Or being wide awake, and then being very sleepy? Are you sleepy now, or wide awake?

I didn't sleep on Sunday night. Probably because of full moon. Now I can sleep 9 hours during the night and I am sleeping all day long.
Maybe we are sensitive to moon cycles...

I usually blame my sleep differences on the changing weather. Falling barometer, and all of that stuff. I am sleepy now, but I should be. I was very sleepy at about 7 pm though, and it was the best feeling, but it was not convenient for me to sleep at that time.

Until about 3 years ago my mom was a horrible horrible sleeper! She would keep my dad up so much that she would end up going into the living room and catching up with work on the computer. It didn't seem that she could get two consecutive nights of sleep that consisted of more than 4 hours. But three years ago, and we have no idea why, my mom can sleep just about anywhere at any place. We tease her about it. Nothing is wrong with her, but now she sleeps well. She wakes up easily, but goes right back to sleep. She is 50, but sleeps like a baby now. lol

Oh I am so sorry that this is happening to you. If I am stressed then I do not sleep so then to settle meI take a tylenol or advil pm and this usually does the trick. You mustjust have your sleep pattern now disturbed because of your surgery. I do hopethat you are feeling much better now and am praying for you as I type. Many many blessings and I do hope that you are feeling better today. Take care my friend and am sending you a big hug

I am awake and only felt sleepy when I feel so tired and so even a short nap would not work for me. how your neck? I do hope you feeling well now? I never experience having sedated like you experience but surely if the procedures is done to me , i may sleep teribbly but so far it does not happen to me yet. their times i felt being sedated when I felt dizzy after my period just starting to begin so my feeling is like I am very light and flying so eventually their is no need for me to sedate as I already feeling light and dizzy, so weak that all i like to do is to sleep most of the time. I am not into taking of sleeping pills when I could not sleep. I like most the natural sleeping remedy so i just surf the net or read a good books until i feel tired and my eyelid dropping slowly, then sure i could have a good slumber. Or else you could try to drink warm milk or just watch movies marathon till your eyes get tired or just listening to soothing and mellow music sounds like a lullaby you could have a good sleep. hope it helps. have a nice day!

I had gotten your email to me about all the "lovely" back surgery you're going to be facing in a few months, plus the injections in your neck for three Mondays..meant to answer it but have been behind in a lot of things lately due to a lot of lovely "stuff" going on in my life....I wrote a new discussion just last night about more SSI issues I'm facing (try to read it when you get a chance...hint, hint..LOL). As for sleepy? Oh yup---I got up earlier than usual to try and talk to someone at my local SSA office.......I got NOWHERE...I called various times of the day and they either weren't picking up the phone and it just rang, or other times just got busy signal. I'm still debating whether to take a nap, but afraid if I do will fall into a deep sleep and wake up at some wacky hour throwing my "schedule" off..I do need to go out tomorrow, so don't want to get my sleep schedule out of whack...ah, but that bed is calling me........sighs

I'm a night owl as it is anyway, so I never wake up feeling really rested but I normally function just fine for work the next morning. I've just gotten used to it over the years I guess. Now that I'm pregnant though, I am so drained in the mornings! I don't know what it is. I definitely can't sleep because my mind is always going for what we need for the baby and I've hit the point in my pregnancy where I just can't find a comfortable sleep position. I'm waking up with little to no sleep every morning now, but I feel pretty good today despite that.

Today I was a little bit more sleepy then most mornings. I had trouble getting out of bed and getting more awake after I finally did. Right now I feel fine though not too sleepy, good enough to do what needs to be done today. I do have a really bad sinus headache though which is probably why I feel more tired hna usual. Most weekdays I am pretty well awake. On weekends it takes a bit longer to get going.

I am definitely sleepy and I have already had a coffee to keep me awake. I don’t want to take a nap because it is morning here at the moment, my child is at school and this is my only chance to write and MyLot before she comes home so I don’t want to nap. Will I make it? It is eleven fifteen now, she comes home at three with a friend I believe. I will fight this tiredness and give in to it when I fall asleep on my keyboard. You have a nice rest now!

At this moment in time, I am wide awake
I do not feel tired one bit, and haven't done in the past several days. For some strange reason I have bee full of energy, despite the fact that I haven't fallen asleep any earlier than 12 o'clock every night. I'm a freak, I know

I think for you it could be some reaction to the anesthesia. Did the procedure do anything to improve blood flow? You might have just been getting more oxygen to your brain. I have been having funny sleeping patterns this month since I am not working, and taking some pain meds, and now some antibiotics as well. I hope you get your sleep patterns straightened around.

My dog, Tukay has gotten to the age where she snores a lot on some nights. On those nights, I tend not to sleep much. Between her and hubby there's a symphony with both instruments being out of tune. It probably sounds better when I join in, but I'll never know.
I hope you are feeling relief from your procedure, and have been able to get some sleep. At least the weather here has been conducive to afternoon naps, right? I almost have forgotten what the sun looks like.

I am very sleepy right now but I refuse to take a nap. Yes I am awake but I dont think my mind is fully awake though. I really dont think I am functioning to my highest potential right now. I really feel tired but I just have a lot of things to do so I cant really take a break to sleep. It feels like my body is awake but some part of my brain is fast asleep lol.
