Do you prefer outdoors to a picnic or a dinner at the restaurant?

I used to enjoy much of my outdoor life compared to a more formal dinner in a restaurant. But I find that a lot of job need to be done when organizing an outdoor function so I opt for the comfort of a restaurant.

I think they can both be wonderful. After a long winter cooped up inside going out and having a picnic on a nice Spring day sounds like an amazing idea. But there is also something to be said for having someone else serve me a fantastically cooked meal and just being able to relax in a nice atmosphere. I think they are both wonderful in their own ways.

In the summertime my husband and I like going to the little park up the street for a picnic, but restaurants are good all year around. There are nice places to eat indoors in the wintertime, and nice places to eat outdoors in the summertime. it's really great, all the nice places we have around here.

I prefer dinner at a restaurant because if I am eating outside I worry about insects trying to eat my food, rain, and wind blowing my food away.

I love doing either but I guess my favorite is the picnic outside. I love nature and the smell of the air, birds chirping, blue skies, puffy clouds, sun, ahhhh, that sounds like fun! We're inside too much with winter, so when summer comes along, outside is where I like to be.

I like both. It just depends on the occasion.

I've always felt more relaxed in a restaurant. One reason I don't like eating outside is that we might not be under a tent and I don't like eating in the open air because of the birds or airplanes might be dumping their loads right on my food. Plus it's hard to keep the flies and ants away. The outdoors should be more relaxing, but to me it isn't.

hello icesmile.... I would prefer picnic since it will be relaxing.. we will not only enjoy the food that we prepare but we can also enjoy the view of the nature and the fresh air taht we will be breathing.. having a picnic is so much fun than eating on a restaurant because when you are in a restaurant you must be formal because you are not the only person who will be eating there but in picnic the family would really have some fun and bondings since you are free to do anything you want.. :) take care and happy mylotting.. Both are cool but i still prefer restaurant because when we do a picnis, there are many insects and i have a phoby of insects so i prefer to eat and talk on a "safe" place XD. Always comfortable clothes and i eat what i like no matter the composition ^^.

Fine dining at an elegant restaurant will be my choice, but it won't hurt if I go on picnics with my family to change the ambience every once in a while.

definitely indoors. i dont like eating outside of a roof. cuz i find it not cool at all. since you have to pick up the mess after eating which i am so lazy to do. but if i am on a beach party or family event in a beach then i would love it but other wise i dont think so

I'd rather eat indoors than outdoors, but that doesn't mean I want it to be elegant. I like being outdoors, but I don't like eating outside because flying bugs always seem to find their way to my food. Eating indoors lowers the risk of that happening. I'd rather wear clothing that is in between elegant & comfortable. And I don't like steak, but I wouldn't enjoy a sophisticated menu either. I'd like to eat at a simple, casual restaurant.

hello icesmile, It depends on what occasion. I always love outdoor...picnic at the park,sitting on the grass,watching the kids running here and there and enjoying outdoor games. Or a swimming,my family loves the beach. Oh,now i am missing a lot of things with my family. We also like to celebrate some occasion at the restaurant...having fine dining,with music...and,dressed like a queen(ahahaha...not necessarily like a queen nah) Dressed in formal wear..or evening gown...in a cozy place with all the music. Oh so much to dream now...this coming summer vacation,we will surely had a lot of fun with my family. Picnic and also gathering with relatives and special occasion to attend with.

Personally, I prefer eating inside a restaurant, because I have never really been a fan of picnics I'm afraid. I much prefer to eat my food at a table rather than on the grass, but I don't always like to have an over-the-top fancy meal.

I would love a picnic hamper. I have often hinted that we should get one and go out somewhere and eat under a tree (during the summer)...but to no avail. It sounds such a romantic thing to do doesn't it? However, I do like restaurants but have never been to a really expensive one, say, in London. It would be a good excuse to get dressed up though!

Everything depends on the company and the weather. I do enjoy taking a date on a picnic, but I have it down to a science so that it doesn't become a labor intensive project. I like the casual laid back feel of a picnic scenario. I also have a favorite park that has private, lakefront, paddocks that come complete with a grill and picnic table. I live in Florida though so most of the year may not be the best picnic weather (heat,bugs,etc). It's good to have a knowledge of local restaurants. The upside to that is obvious. Climate controlled, no work, and no dishes. Not everyone is as fond of the outdoors as I am. The right ambiance in a restaurant can really set the mood for any event.

i would prefer a outdoor place to sit on a grass in some elegant place where we can enjoy some good fresh air and have fun ... the clothes may depend upon their wish . but it would be niece to wear a comfortable cloth .. a grilled steak with some fruits and drink would be a niece option ..
