Hey friends, we all know everybody has used printer connected to the PC/Laptop now. I just want to share whether you still use manual typewriter at this moment. I myself, I still use manual typewriter to fill in form paperwork in my office. It is not electronic typewriter which is connected to electricity power. But I type use manual typewriter. This is old machine, and I still enjoy it. I also own one in my home, although I never use it again but I care about it, so the condition is still good.
How about you, friends? Thanks for sharing.
Cheers,

My previous office also have an old machine to type out forms and cut them. But even for that we are also using a old model computer with keyboards, not a typewriter. So I guess it's phased out for most part of my country.

i think it's already obsolete. well, if it weren't because of the fire that brought our house down, i would still have my typewriter. That was what i use wayback gradeschool and highschool days. They're so reliable. until computers came in, pc also they became obsolete.

I have the classical typewriter at home but I haven't used it for so many years. It has become to be the antique already:) Today the computer and printer are very common for personal usage. So it is really no need to use the typewriter.
I love China

No, I don't use a manual typewriter. I remember as a kid, going to my dad's office and I also remember that, in his secretary's office, she had a manual typewriter. I always thought that it was so cool. I still think that it's so cool. Maybe if I get the chance, one day, I'll actually own a manual typewriter.

..Hi atleya, I think I still hsve a coupleof manual typewriters. I haven't used them in years. One is a collectible, very old typewriter. I see nothing wrong with using a manual typewriter, especially if you have paperwork that requires typing the information in or you want to type it in. But the computer has so taken over and the printer, the mistakes are easily corrected, and I think you save more time using your computer now a days when you need to type something. Take care. Although my computer has a tendency to improperly space words as you see in the first line.

No, I do not use manual or electronic typewriter. All offices use the computer for documents now. The computer is so much better, where you can edit or change your documents before printing. Even my children, they need the computer for their school projects. In schools, children are taught microsoft words and powerpoint. Computer is a must in very household in my country, especially if they have schooling children. If a family is of low income, the government will sponsor a computer for that family.

Unfortunately I have recently discovered I cannot use a typewriter anymore. After using the computer for so long I ended up paying less attention to typing 100% percent correctly (because it's so easy to fix typos on the computer), and also I have problem hitting the right keys because the spacing between them is different than on the computer keyboard.

I think I still have an old antique typewriter buried amongst all the other unused junk in my garage. And no, it no longer gets used, mainly because of how noisy the damn thing was whenever it typed stuff out
Besides, with all the word processors we have now, I really don't think the typewriter is relevant anymore, it has became a redundant relic, in my opinion. I mean, think about it, with computers, you can modify texts so easily and edit them in a variety of different ways, not to mention the chance to save your work and print off multiple copies of it. There are so many advantages a computer-based word processor holds above the typewriter

Wow, this discussion topic takes me back to the time when Mum bought me my first typewriter and, yes, it was a manual one. I loved it! It was blue with black keys and it had its own case, so it was a good one. I'm not sure if Mum still has it at her house. I think she may have given it away to someone. I don't mind her doing this as I don't use it anymore (I live away) and I type on computer keyboards now, so it would only gather dust in the house.
Great topic my friend, thanks.
