do you miss your school cafeteria/canteen?

Yes, in fact I do. Actually I kind of miss the entire school! It isn't really the food since they do taste like too! It's the memories that come with it; time with my classmates, chatting nonsensically, roaring with laughter, all those stuffs.

I definitely do not miss the cafeteria at my high school at all. After eighth grade I stopped buying food from there, they really don't cook very good food at all. After that, I didn't go into the cafeteria for 3 years because my friends and I never ate lunch there and preferred to eat by our lockers. But in grade 12 when we all got lockers in a pretty crappy dingy hallway we switched to eating in the cafeteria, although I still did not like that very much because it's not very clean. I've seen the janitors use the mops that they just used to wipe the floors with to wipe down the tables. It's pretty gross.

Hi, se7enthbird. Yes, I miss my cafeteria at my old high school. I used to love to see the sliced pizza dribble down from the lunch tray. I could never find these pizzas in the grocery store for anything! They are specially sold at the school's cafeteria. I would have to go there if I want to enjoy this yummy pizza! I also enjoyed eating their beef stew. It was delicious. I do miss the good food that our cafeteria used to serve.

Hello seven, i remember canteen food, my favorite was baked macaroni and it was a lot cheap back then. then, we went to high-school and got to see a lot of good food, the most memorable there was the unlimited rice but i could only eat three rice per meal when my classmate then can eat five. we even called his station Mc george like mc donalds. am not sure if it's still, maybe i should pay a visit.

Hi 7thbird, I am not missing our school's cafeteria until i read your discussion and the memories cameback...now i can see our canteen where we used to buy banana-q and champorado. that's my favorite snacks during recess time. i can't afford softdrinks then. water is fine.

I didn't miss my high school canteen/cafetaria. The food is awful. =( I usually hang out with my friends at the hall and in front of our classroom during recess time. Now that I've finished my college year and start to work.. i kinda miss my college canteen. The food there is excellent and i with my college friends usually hang out there to have snacks/lunch/dinner or even just drinks. The space is not really huge but everybody from 1st year fresh graduate to final year students are there. Miss that moment so much and miss the food so much. Can't find a suitable time to go there anymore since my work demands me to work from morning till late evening.

i have some memories in the cafeteria like watching out for our crushes. we were once frequent in having lunch there because of that. we also went there when we have our assignments.

I was on my school meal plan when i was in college, i remember even though the cafeteria didn't cook the best food in the area, they are still edible, those food managed to fill my hunger and keep me going, but i don't have any memory of any special dishes in the cafeteria worth mentioning after eating their food for several years. Nothing special and they are mainly just average food. haha...

Hi se7enthbird! The cafeteria was my favorite place..lol..That was the only place where we could talk freely and mingle with our friends. I remember the pizza they served. I liked it as a kid but I sure wouldn't want to now...lol.

Hell No! I hated that place and the food tasted like cardboard. Oopse I think I insulted the cardboard. In fact cardboard would taste better. Oh and accessibility was a nightmare as well. For a so-called handycapped school accessibility was a nightmare. They eventually revamped it, but I was well more then half way through high school and I'd been going to that school for fifteen years. It was a school for all grades pre-k through 12. When I graduated they had started a post-grad program as well.

I miss my school all things. And i also miss my school canteen. Especially the burger,yummy. It was not so expensive but it was so yummy. I think the best burger was sold there. I have lot of memories that makes me to go there. last year i went. But everything is change there.

I have meals for several years in my college canteen, I don't miss it at all because I get bored with the same food there but unfortunately,I have to have meals there for more than one year.===

I'm not that old, I'm a high school student, however, I wouldn't miss the food, but I do and would miss the memories left behind with the middle school cafeteria(for me). It's fun just talking with friends while eating, and talking about how bad the food tastes. Talking about what were going to do and what we rather be eating just keeps us laughing :D

our school canteen when i was high school is a love canteen, it is a place where most of relationship started and it is a place when i was always broke cause i always treat my girlfriend friends.huhuhu!!

Yes, I miss their pizza, corn and mashed potato. Maybe something else but I don't recall right now.
