what's your experience to quit smoking,are you successful?

Hi Mylotter,pls allow me to tell you my story (yes,there must be a stroy behind our first cigarette),I started smoking when I was 22 years old after broke up with my first gf.it's funny that I don't feel good by smoking,anyway When I realize my faulse ,I have been addicted to such a vice for two years,I became weak and easily get ill,and I am unconfortable by the continous feeling that there is sputum in my throat,(especially the time when I get up),but above all, the worst thing is no more cigarette in the middle night if I want to get one(do you know such feeling?),several times I got up and walk a long way in middle night just to buy a pack of cigarette... so I decided to quit smoking.I took one year to reach my goal,limited the amount and decreased step by step, that's a very tough thing I have done ,but it is worthy to do so,now I have not smoked for one and half a year. do you have the same experience about quiting smoking or you want to do such a thing? no matter the result was,feel free to let me know ,and good luck for both of us!
