There is nothing physically wrong with you. SO many people in this world have this disorder. If you know of benedryl try taking that at night and that will usually put you to sleep. I take it every night to fall asleep or i would be just sitting there like you probably are going crazy also. I would head to the store and get some sleep aid medicine to get you to go to sleep. Look some up online right now since you are on and go get some medicine to get you to go to sleep because no sleep means the next day is going to be bad and your going to be exhausted.

Hi rubyxia, I've experienced what have you experiencing now. Before I really can't sleep at all even though I am so tired and I can hear the ticking of the clock and the cars passing by. I was able to sleep at 6-7 in the morning and it's really frustrating. When I close my eyes because I want to sleep but my brain is still functioning like I'm thinking of many things. Then I realized that I'm having insomnia, before I sleep I have to drink milk because it will really help.

Hi, that's too bad, I once have this feeling, when I have something to worry about, I keep thinking that, and can't fall asleep, even I already feel so tire, but still can't sleep, that's feeling is so bad. But this just happened once. I think maybe you can have a glass of milk, and listening some soft music before you sleep, and try reading something, reading can always makes me sleepy. If these are still doesn't help, I think you need go to a doctor.

it really happens to many people i know, and sometimes I get the same problem as well. The only advice I could give is to stop thinking about it, even if you can't fall asleep you can get some rest just by lying in your bed without any negative thoughts such as "why can't i sleep like normal people do?' it only distracts you and irritates.

When you go to sleep, silently and slowly count numbers 1 to 10 repeatedly. This may make you induced sleep. Try this old formula yourself from today! Thanks and have nice sleeps!

Dear rubyxia, are you in some kind of stress? What's troubling you? If you are really stressed up, thus causing you to stay awake, why don't you write out your problems on paper? By writing on paper, you can actually see your problems better, and from there, think of solutions to tackle your problems. Try not to take sleeping pills as it is not good for you in the long run. If possible, you might want to put on some light relaxation music that could probably help you drift into some peaceful sleep.

I think you need a job, not saying that in a bad way. I have a seasonal job where I am off over Winter. Sometimes I land a temp job, other times not. Being home is fine for awhile but then I too start sleeping all weird. Also you should pick up some form of meditation. I find it relaxes the mind. I have one from a Chinese Master and I love it. You go deep and there are few level too. Otherwise, try hypnoses as you may have an underlying issue. That well become more complex but is a start. I have my own issues that I work on. Nobody is perfect.

I think you should see a doctor first this isnt good for your health. But more importantly you shoul make sure you dont sleep in the day time so that you dont get into a different sort of routine. Try and make sure you are as comfortable as possible when you are trying to sleep today night, switch off the lights and make your brain blank, dont indulge in any activity even if you cant get sleep quickly. just lie down in your bed, you might just get a nap then.

Hi rubxyia, I have the exact opposite or your problem. I tend to sleep A LOT! swear! Like today, I was only planning to take a 15min nap but then I dozed off completely and ended up sleeping for 2 full hours! I almost got late for work, good thing I made it to my office in time. Anyways, as for your problem, I advice you try setting up a "sleep" mood in your bedroom. I used to work graveyard shifts and this might be worth a try: - cover your windows or turn off the lights or try covering your eyes - make sure your room has no unnecessary noise - as much as possible avoid drinking stuffs with caffeine atleast 2 hours before you plan to sleep - make yourself comfortable in your bed, like keeping clean sheets and pillows - try listening to slow or soft music.. your choice.. whatever song you think can help you go to sleep. So there you have it. Those are just to name a few. I'm sure there are other ways you can do to be able to sleep. ;D

hi rubyxia welcome to the insomniacs of America or wherever you are from, I am also having the same problem so I just take Benadryl at night to help me fall asleep, its an antihistamine that is notorious for making you sleepy and at night thats just what you need.

Hi,Ruby here is also Chinese,I see, maybe it's bored when u are in such excitement mental. To visit a doctor may lead to some money lost, and then medicine by ,edicine. I think u'd better to transfer your attention to something or insomnia itself, maybe u can try some readings or writtings, let them make u more tired and wanna sleep. Of course, just a suggestion for your reference.

Hello, I think you are now still having a serious problem. Is it right? if yes, then you must solve your problem immediately. Anyway, you can try to read a book, see television or listen music (if you like). I am very sympathy with your problem. Hopefully you get a solution soon. Best wishes,

I used to have the same problem, and in my experience, I think the best way is the "reading the boring". Find out anything you are totally uninterested in to read, history of philosophy, psychology, anthropology, etc. In fact, Japanese learning worked for me. Turn off your TV, laptop, or any music player, just keep your room quiet. And in the daytime, you'd better go out and do some sports, or keep walking all day in the malls or parks. That would be a healthy way to help. And sometimes, I drink to make things easy. But I don't know your age, so I don't really want you to try drinking, and it might cause other problems.
