Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles are still my favorites. I will never forget how utterly absorbed in them I was as a teenager: I read "Interview with the Vampire" in one sitting, perched on a tree branch high above the ground, a slight breeze keeping me company as I read. It really says something when you can remember the exact circumstances under which you read a book, to me, as if that were an important moment in your life. I do also enjoy the Sookie Stackhouse series, and I've read a few other series with vampires as a theme, but Anne Rice will always be my favorite!

There are quite a few of the Vampire Chronicles books! The first one is "Interview with the Vampire". The next few are: The Vampire Lestat, The Queen of the Damned, The Tale of the Body Thief, Memnoch the Devil, and The Vampire Armand. That might be all that are technically part of the series, because I know the next ones are a crossover with the author's "Mayfair Witch" series. Plus, she has a few that are under "New Tales of the Vampires" that include some of the same characters but focus on a few that weren't main characters in the other series, as well as focusing further into the past and such. I couldn't really get into the Twilight books. I don't know why, but I just didn't like the writing style much.

I like an Hong Kong drama serial called I Have A Date With Vampire. It was one of the drama that involved all kinds of supernatural stuffs with pretty ladies where one of the characters plays a supernatural hunter (born with a curse to fulfill her ancestor's path) and a bunch of vampires, one plays a vampire (working as a cop) and another as a powerful and rich tycoon. It spans 3 season long due to it's success where the story goes from just hunting the vampire to linking the myths of Chinese legendary characters with deity as vampires. (it's quite a far stretch). I think I am addicted to it mainly because of the same cast portraying their same role in the show because right after the third and last season ends, I didn't follow any of their future (individual) productions. In the past, vampires was portrayed as a vicious human being that feeds on blood and can only live in the dark. But the drama actually brings out the idea that vampires aren't afraid of the sun, and drinking human blood can be replaced with animal's blood and if they attempted to eat any food, they will ended up with a terrible stomachache. I didn't like the ending though because they didn't managed to close all the gaps in between but it gives me some closure to know that the couple (which had a hard time to be together for the 3 seasons) are finally together.

i have never heard about u mentioned. im sure that i would search on internet to see if is it from a book, or is just a Tv serial. i love all the stories of vampires, of course, ones more than others. . . and as u said, its true, nowdays vampires changed this blood devotion they used to have on the past, of course, the blood essencial must appear in all vampires serial, because if dont appear, we arent talking about vampires, lol! i like the way that Twilight show this changed, also True Blood.. well friend, have a nice day, and good luck!

Oh, this is purely a TV serial. I am not sure if it makes it to the bookstore though because a lot of TV dramas will be later publish as a book (I guess for collectors). Here is the information about the drama. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/My_Date_with_a_Vampire Hope this helps.

Hi there.... my favorite book series is Twilight, but my favorite tv series is Vampire Diaries. I have also seen the Twilight and New Moon movies and read the Vampire Diaries series of books, and I am reading another trilogy of vampire books, but I stand firm with what I said first. Twilight in book form is excellent. There is plenty of detail, depth of characters, they interact and communicate well and you can feel like you're in the story and relate to how people are feeling. In the movies, it's not the same. As far as Vampire Diaries, there were changes from the books to the show, and I saw the show first before I read the books. The characters in the books are NOT even the same personalities as in the show. In the show they are fabulous. In the books the main character, Elena, is not someone I would even want to be friends with. I guess overall what is most enticing about vampire lore, books, movies, shows etc is the idea of forbidden romance and the uproar it causes in general terms with society.

i have read and watched twilight, and i love it! of course, we can see some changes, and its common, because they need to adapt the hole book to represent and show us in 1 hour! but this not meaning that they must to change like you said, the character´s personality, becasue loose the essencial. i have never seen the vampires diaries, i would like to see this after i read the books, to understand more. i downloaded the hole saga, and when i finish to read True Blood, i´ll try to read The Vampires Diaries. but i have read 3 sagas about vampires, and i can say that Twilight Saga is the best saga i have ever seen! i love the style of stephenie Meyer´write, i think that she has a power and a facility to write! have u ever read The Host by Stephenie meyer? (isnt about vampires, but its amazing! i reccomend u!

I really love the Twilight Saga. The reason that I am a fan of this series is because of the fact that it really made me think about vampires in a way that was much different than I had ever thought about them in the past. I think that in addition to that about the saga, I love the love store that Stephanie Meyer created in the series of books. Now, I've not really read or watched any of the other vampire stories to be quite honest, so I am a biased opinion.

When it came to movies about vampires i love the Under World series .Those three films are created in a nice background also the visuals are superb .Director Len did a nice job with those films. The second most i loved is Twilight,it is also good to watch and the romantic sense are so cute. But when it comes to second the cuteness is reduced. So i love the first part more..But when it compare with the book..book is a lot more effective i think.. The Blade series is the worst vampire film in my view..that too brutal and bad sense...so i hate those..

Trueblood. Has a nice twist to it and some new ideas. Not entirely cliche. It's based on charlaine harris' series Sookie Stackhouse. I'll never forget Anne rice though.

I think the Underworld series are the best. The Blade movies were good, albeit a little corny, but so were Buffy and Angel, and they're among my favorites. I never read to books, but the first Twilight seemed too G rated for me. The lost Boys is a classic, but the second one stunk. I also thought the one movie with Bon Jovi was pretty good.

I love Twilight series when it comes to vampires..Stephnie Mayer really romanticized Vampires through that series..Personally i loved the unfinished book 5 Midnight sun than any other books in the series..It shows Edwards version of Twilight books events..He is my favorite character in the vampire world..

My favorite series is a book series. It's called Real Vampires by Gerry Bartlett. The first book in the series is Real Vampires have Curves. It is not a spooky series at all. In fact the premise behind the series is that the vampires are trying to assimilate into the "human" world. The main character is a vampire named Glory. She is great, and even as a vampire, any woman can totally relate to her. This series has a completley different take on vampires and can make anyone laugh. It was obviously written for women, but a male friend of mine read part of it and he said it even entertained him. Her next two are already scheduled to come out, and I can't wait. Another good vampire book, isn't a series but it is called The Historian by Elizabeth Costova. It is amazing!!! Very long but by far one of my favs. As far as movies go, I haven't been too impressed by a lot of them. Obviously John Carpenter's Vampires was great!

Twilight Saga: 4 Books namely, Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. A love story between a vampire and a human. I love Breaking Dawn the most because Bella and Edward got married, had a child and Bella turned out to be a vampire. There are lots of twists that happened in all of these books. You should read them. I've been addicted to it though. Have fun!

I have always loved the Underworld series- it's a bunch of movies involving vampires and lycans(werewolves). They are all so cool- with their gadgets and fighting and all that.. and the story and acting is good. The effects are great too. and on the novels, i like Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter series..
