An surprisingly early Valentine's Day gift from my husband!

I was very surprised when my husband gave me a gift for Valentine's day. He tapped me on the back softly while he was on the phone. And I turned around and he gave me a bag. Inside of this bag was a teddy bear that was hugging a heart. It had chocolate candy in it. I was stunned! I was not expecting anything at all. Nor, was I even thinking about Valentine's Day. This made me feel so special. I now have the gift, sitting on my the shelf in my bedroom closet. I tell you, my husband really has a way of surprising me. He has been doing this ever since we were first married and it never gets old. His surprises leaves me awe struck. Has anyone received an early Valentine's Day gift yet?

Early? My husband usually runs out sometime on the 14th to get something for me! Last night though he did try to take credit for the Daytona 500, which is NASCAR's opening day race, being scheduled on Valentine's Day. He said he asked them to hold the race on that day juuuust for me. Whatta guy!

hi! :) A very kind act from your husband, which shows that he really loves you and cares about you. I have no girlfriend and I will not celebrate this holiday, but hope to meet the girl of my dreams very soon, and hope it will be the right for me, because my last girlfriend left me, when I moved to another city, she didn't want to come with me :(

Hi Cream,
What a sweet guy! I 'll bet it meant way more to you than had he run out on Valentines day and got it just because that is the thing to do. It shows he bought the gift because he was thinking of you rather than buying the gift because it was Valentine's day. How long have you guys been married?

My husband and I don't even really celebrate Valentine's Day at all anymore because both of us agree that it is just a ploy by the retail establishments to be able to make more money. We will do little things throughout the year for each other and that more than makes up for the one day a year in which there are so many retailers that are attempting to make a little bit of money. I'm always surprised when my husband does something thoughtful for me.

I haven't received anything this year...but there's time lol. John did send me some beautiful flowers a few years back. I wasn't living with him then and the flowers were sent to Mum's where I was residing. They were the most gorgeous flowers EVER and they stayed fresh for at least 3 weeks as there were a few buds ready to open when they arrived. Once all the flowers were in bloom they looked amazing and smelled divine. I've never forgotten them but haven't had any since!!! As for your pressy, that is so sweet of your husband to do that..and the bear sounds very cute!

That is so sweet of your husband. The little surprises are the best, aren't they? I have yet to receive anything. However, I was told that my husband will be home on the 19th. I had no idea when he would be home this time.
Even though I love chocolate, I do hope that I get something besides that as I am eating more healthy now and trying to lose weight to what I wish to be.

Wow, not only a gift, but an early gift, LOL. That's great cream. I haven't ever received an early Valentine's Day gift. I am not sure that I will even receive anything. It's a nice warm holiday, but we just don't always do anything special for it. I do plan on making a nice brunch, and watching the Daytona 500 with some friends. If I get a box of chocolates, I hope they are the ones that I like. LOL
Glad to hear your hubby still has it going on!!!

It's nice that you were surprised. It's fun to wonder what will be coming up next. My hubby got me a box of chocolate covered fortune cookies. I had never seen them before. But they do taste good.

Awww...thats sweet, your husband seems very loving, and he thinks about you. I haven't gotten anything yet, he asked me what I wanted for Valentine's Day, but I'd rather be surprised, but he's not like that, he's not the type to just go out and get me something without me knowing about it or picking it out myself. I always tell him to surprise me, but he says I'm hard to buy for..haha. Our anniversary is also on Feb 15th, so he usually gives me something for both days.

Hi! Yes my husband gave me an early Valentines Day gift. He surprised me with beautiful purple flowers that are my favorite color. A Nancy Drew game for my computer. I have been collecting every game that has been made. Ans he got me a scrabble game because he knows I like word games. My husband loves to surprise me with things. My husband always new I wanted a vanity since I was a kid and he got me one for Christmas. It is an antique vanity. It is so beautiful. He sure knows how to make me cry with happy tears.

Sounds like you have a very loving husband who want you to know you are appreciated and loved. i really like the idea of the early suprise as i tend to think of valentines day as very commercialized, while i like the idea of a day to celebrate the love a person feels for there partner i dont like the pressure it puts on people and the idea that people are buying gifts or doing things because they feel like they have to on a certain day, the early suprise makes it very special because your husband obviously bought you a gift because he wanted to not because it was a certain day and felt like it was expected.

I have not been in a relationship ON Valentine's Day in a long time. The last time I remember even getting a Valentine's Day present my son was not even born yet and he just turned 10.
That was sweet of your husband to give you a little gift early like that.

awww sweet!
My man did this for me too the other day. He came in holding a paper bag and in it was a bright pink and yellow frog (so him) holding a heart that says "I'm your prince."
The other night he whispered to me that he had a small gift for me and I would have never dreamed it would be so personal and thoughtful, such a carefully selected gift.

Hi cream! I think that was very sweet of your husband to buy
you your Valentine's gift early and surprise you like that!
That is truly being really romantic! As for me, not expecting
anything! My boyfriend and I are actually fighting right now
which seems to be the usual thing lately! I don't even know if
we will be staying together much longer so Valentine's Day
this year doesn't matter at all! He is driving me crazy about
the house cleaning! He has OCD and whatever I do or clean he
still isn't satisfied! He needs psyciatric help and nothing I
say or do is good enough! No matter how hard I try he still finds
something wrong with whatever I do! He is always giving the
furniture the "white glove test" after I polish! That is definitely
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder to the fullest extent!
