Leave god aside in this cases.Faith does help and it is proven with experiments doing placebo treatments..but it is the psychological turnover that can make a difference like giving a boost to the immune system.Endorphines or many other hormones are related to our mood and to the status of our immune system.I do believe in god, but miracles in these cases very difficult to believe. Why god is treating something he sents?i mean he created diseases right?anyhow..my point is chemotherapy even if not even near to 100% treatment is always the way to fight cancer.natural rememdies is just worthless, and people take advantage demonstrating those from those that are in need i.e. patients.I have lost a cousin 2.5 years old by brain cancer, not all cancers are treatable but prevention, screening adn early treatment is the culprit for staying healthy.

I am a cancer (squamous cell carcenoma of the tongue) survivor of 6 years. I was given massive doses of chemo, a lifetime dose of radiation, and underwent surgery...all this over a solid year of fighting. By the way, it is only through the grace of God that I survived long enough to be treated. I was mis-diagnosed two years previously. The oncologists could not believe that I had survived 2 years without treatment. I ended up being a case study.
Oh, by the way, it's back. I have no other option but my belief in God's ability to heal me. And He has shown me that He will. I will have a blog going very soon so that you can track my miracle.
Disease is a result of sin which is a result of God allowing us free will. I am not sure what God you believe in but mine is a loving God who does not wish His children to suffer but must wait for them to ask Him for help (much the way I was with my children when they had to go through trials that I could have fixed but couldn't because they "could do it themselves".

I can't leave God out of this. Although He is not everything, everything is His and belongs to Him. Although I do not agree that chemotherapy is 100% the way to go, I do sympathize with you as you have lost a family member. I must emphasize that God is always in control. No matter what you take, if God has Willed for you to live, then you will continue to do so. As with any trial in life, you must continue to strive with persistance to do positive things that will make your life filled with more blessings. If you are down all the time, your body will be filled with sickness, but stay positive, and good things will come.
