I have been a very a good student before and after i received my first failing grade i lost interests and played a lot of online games and really didn't do any school work after that i really got lazy and now i want to go back to that organize self of mine...but do you know that feeling that even how much you want to there is something inside of u that stops u...life how a water looks for the easiest was back to the sea...I always regretted that i gave myself the chance to be lazy...
Do you guys have any advice or share your experiences on how u dealt with this same problem? I would really like to hear from you guys! thank you

i always keep telling myself that there is no place for a lazy person in this world and i won't be able to survive if i am lazy... this is what i do to myself if i start to become lazy... also, as i am a Christian, i always remember the verses from the Bible that tell me to learn from ants... they are so hardworking and we human should sometimes take a look at them and be ashamed of ourselves for being lazy... take care and have a nice day...

I was like you when I was still in college and I regret what I did. I was lucky to be given another chance to start my life anew.
When laziness strikes, I don't really succumb to it now just like what I did when I was younger. The more lazy I feel the more I am encouraging myself to move.
I am getting my strength from the goals I want to achieve. Say for example, I'd like to finish writing four articles within a day, I'd think of its benefits like extra income and a additional savings. Simply put, my motivations are the rewards. I don't bother to think of the punishment if I'll be yielding to my being lazy because I know it is pointless to count something that is worthless...

The only things which I felt very lazy when I am tired and usually I fight being lazy in bed like when I stay to late at night i see to it that i could still wake up early and I always practice it everyday it becomes a habit to me. I don't even need an alarm clock to wake me up since i already discipline myself and being lazy doing nothing could only makes me tired. I already program in my mind what i am gonna do so their is really no space for being lazy even if I like to do nobody is going to replace me since everyone in the house is also busy. I fight the urge and when it comes usually when I am sick and for normal days i could not afford to procrastinate.

Being lazy is a choice. Quite often a choice someone has made when they've given up. First you have to understand its easy to give up, and harder to to get back to basics. You have to underanerstand this concept before you can change. And, the change has to come from you. You have to decide, you aren't going to let failure get you down and stick to what is important to you. Once this decision has been made then you should be perfectly fine.

hi there scaflone :)) believe it or not we are on the same track. It is not being lazy it is loosing are focus and got lost interest on that thing. I am working now. in my 1st year on the compny ive been awarded as one of the best employee. having a good grades from my superior, but things went wrong. there was an incident and my superior blaming me even it was not my fault, actually its her fault but just to cover her asssssss she even made a report that is pointing my name to be the one who cause that incident. because of that i lot interest on my work. im always late and absent. i dont even have a perfect attendance in a month. sometimes i want to get back on my good records but like you theres something inside of me that makes me stop, maybe its our evil side. now im planning to resign thats why im looking so many ways on how to make money online. if this one will be stable..bye bye work :))

I'm doing now what the others suggested me. And today I wasn't late for my 7:30am yeay hehe. Hopefully changes will occur within my self but the EVIL inside really make it hard hehee. Its the bad conscience thing hehehee

I just get up and do what needs to be done. It also helps to write a list of the things I need to do so that I keep myself organized and on the ball.

When I'm feeling lazy I try to think of what good I will get from not being lazy. For example, when I'm feeling too lazy to work, I just think of the money I will earn by working. That is effective for me because I'm aiming to save lots of money. Can you think of anything that you will gain by studying? It's always a good idea to focus on the positive consequences of things instead of the negative ones, like failing school. It's true that negative consequences can scare you into doing the right thing, but positive consequences will make you really motivated to achieve a goal. When people get scared they just think of the easiest way out, but when they are motivated they do their best to achieve their goals and do not content themselves with just mediocre achievements.

Well, I'm just like you.. I used to be really active at work,.. but then I suddenly felt like I don't want to work anymore and I started filing more and more sick leaves.. Now though I'm trying to change my attitude and I got my friends helping me. Since money is a big issue for me, I need to pay them 500php each if I file a sick leave and I'm not really sick. Hehehe. They would go to my house and check on me if I'm really sick or not.. That why there would be no more "lazy" days for me.

I think laziness is already innate within us. We just have to learn how to deal with this. I do consider myself lazy, especially now that I just work at home for very short number of hours a day. I also have 1-2 holidays a week. This kind of lifestyle is indeed very sedentary which causes me to become very lazy. I often wake up very late in the morning and eat my brunch. After eating, I go back to bed again. I got tired of these boring routines already so I decided to enroll into a gym. Just this afternoon, I started working out in the gym together with my friend. It was very tiring because it was my first time to go to the gym. But honestly, I felt great about it. I felt like moving is really good. It also makes us healthy. Maybe, you can also try to go to the gym. Or you can just do some stretching at home.

there are plenty ways to get you 'jolt' up again. i also experienced what you are going through now. haha but now i seemed to be 'lifting' my scores a little bit. the main thing that i told myself was "why do i need to do it later? if i do it now i might find some time to play" that's how i lift my mark up... hope it works on you too...

Hi.. For me my cure for not being lazy, would be my MOM. Believe me or not, she is the reason why I continue going to school. Even though my school sucks, the teacher, the faculty, the facilities & Rotten school building. I owe it all to the one that gave me the chance to have a proper education..
I hope you could find your too...

Yeah, I became lazy to start back to schoolwork again after stopping school for 2 years for military service. Now that I'm waiting for university, I probably would start to prepare myself. The main thing is about your mindset and perseverance. I have developed a very strong will in the past so whenever I'm determined to achieve something, I would definitely follow it to the end. As a start, you should probably start to plan your goals and decide how you would better use your time to achieve the goals. It's always helpful to state down the tasks you want to accomplish daily to keep track of your progress. You would feel a sense of satisfaction after you completed each task.

Find yourself a reason not to be lazy. If you still acting like that, what will happen ten years later, maybe 20 years. Others can live a better life but you can't.
Right now, I am forcing myself practicing English. Haha! Hope you will be back soon!

You feel lazy because you lost your motivation. You have mentioned you started getting lazy after receiving a failing grade. You should have not taken it as a failure but instead a lesson. Remember there is no such thing as failure, only lessons. And you have to learn each lessons in life - like the one that happened to you. You can always make up for your failing grade. But you can never bring back wasted time for being lazy. You have mentioned you had been a very good student before. You might have been focusing too much on your studies. Try to do some other things. Live in balance. Have a nice conversation with your dad, mom, or siblings and even friends. They might want to talk to you on some things and they can even inspire you on things you want in life. Not all who failed in class fail in life. If you really want to get back on being a good student, laziness is not the answer. Try this. Think of a reason on why you want to get good grades. It may be you are aiming for a scholarship, it may be..you want to impress someone..or it can be any reason. Remember there is no such thing as "something for nothing". You have to have a goal and stick with it. That will be your motivation. I hope that can help you. :)

It's all in the mindset:(
You need a goal and motivation to achieve something.
or else you probably will just keep indulge in your online games etc.
Lastly online game will just close down one day, or your interest for it will die down.
in the end you left with nothing but regrets in life for not working hard as student:(
